As the Memorial sped towards their destination the proximity alert on both the science and tactical stations blinked drawing the attention of any good officer.

As the proximity alert blipped on the science console, Thalia’s fingers were fixed over the controls, instinctively initiating a scan of the surrounding space. “Captain…Comander,” Thalia called out, her voice steady but clearly excited, “we’ve picked up something on the sensors. Not sure what it is or the magnitude yet.”

“Lets ere on the side of caution, Commander?” Voss said looking to his new second in command expectedly, he had some idea of what the signals were but he wanted to see how his crew reacted to an unknown entity, to them at least.

The captain’s voice broke through her thoughts and Sifeda glanced toward him, “Agreed, Captain,” Sifeda replied, her tone confident, “we should proceed with caution until we have more information. However, I do recommend bringing shields to full power, just in case....”
As she spoke, she got up from her chair, the one that was right next to the captain, went to the tactical station, began inputting commands, and fine-tuning the sensors to gather as much information as possible.
