Aiden briskly made his way through the corridors of the Memorial, his mind focused on the upcoming mission. He had a pressing need to consult with his old-time friend Emery or Lieutenant Kindle depending on who was in the room, the ship’s intelligence officer, regarding critical details. As he approached the intelligence offices, Aiden couldn’t shake the feeling of urgency that gnawed at him.Upon reaching the door, he entered to find Kindle engrossed in a flurry of activity, poring over data on her console, as he often would enter without knocking. Clearing his throat to announce his presence, Aiden caught her attention.
“Emery,” Aiden addressed her his tone carrying a sense of urgency. “I need to discuss our new mission. I’ve asked the XO to meet us here since we haven’t had time to officially meet.”

USS MemorialFew folks could call her Emery without getting an sassy retort in reply. Aiden had earned her respect and friendship a long time ago and she didn’t mind when he chose to call her by her middle name which if anyone actually asked, she did like Emery more than her first name of Mirdalan, but she had several folks calling her Emony instead of Emery growing up, and that was a sore point. “I just got the hot notes with more details to be decrypted. Do you want something to drink or do you want to wait until the Number One arrives?” Emery asked with a cheeky grin that was no stranger to their friendship or interactions. It was when it was absent that there was something up.

USS MemorialAiden offered a grateful smile to his friend, appreciating her understanding of his unannounced entrance. “A room temperature water with a slice of lemon would be perfect, thank you,” he replied, knowing her habit for details extended to even the simplest requests.
As Emery busied herself with his drink, Aiden took a moment to gather his thoughts. The mission weighed heavily on his mind, and he was eager to dive into the details with his trusted friend and XO.
As Emery returned with his drink, Aiden took a sip, feeling refreshed by the tang of lemon. “Thank you,” he said, setting the glass down on the table. “And since we’re on the topic of the XO, what do you know about her?”

USS MemorialSifeda moved through the corridors of the Memorial with purpose, her steps guided by the glowing display of her PaDD. Thoughts of the upcoming tasks she would soon be responsible for raced through her mind, each one a reminder of the responsibilities that would rest on her shoulders. She had just emerged from her quarters, where she had stolen a moment to gather her thoughts and ready herself for the missions that lay ahead.
Upon entering the intelligence office, Sifeda’s gaze swept the room with a practiced calmness that hid the whirlwind of emotions within her. Despite her outward composure, her heart raced with anticipation of what was to come.
She maintained her stoic face, offering a respectful nod to Aiden and Emery as she greeted them.
“Good to see you both,” she said evenly, her voice steady and Romulan like. “I’m ready to get to work.”Commander Itri
(Executive Officer)“Ah, Commander!” Aiden greeted warmly as she entered the room. “I apologize for not having the chance to meet earlier, but now seems as good a time as any,” he said with a welcoming smile. “I trust we’ll find a moment to catch up and properly introduce ourselves.” Aiden paused briefly before continuing, “In the meantime, Lieutenant Kindle was just about to brief me on the situation relayed from Starfleet Intelligence in preparation for our senior staff meeting.”

Sifeda acknowledged the Captain’s greeting with a respectful nod, her expression remaining composed as she took in the room. She made a mental note of the layout, the position of each console, and the data displays. It was second nature to her, this constant assessment of her surroundings, a habit ingrained through years of training and service.
“Of course, Captain,” she replied, her voice measured and controlled. “I look forward to our discussion.” Her eyes briefly moved to Emery, offering a silent acknowledgment as she took a seat and waited for the breifing.
