The USS Memorial had been put into Drydock for an overhaul mostly the work would be done by Corp of Engineers crew from the Jupiter shipyard however Engineering crew from the Memorial were more than welcome to lend a hand if they so chose this however gave the rest of the crew shore leave Tralla had stayed aboard the ship for now this afternoon she had something important to talk to her husband about and she waited for him to return to their quarters though she had no idea how he would take what she had to say so she was pacing back and forth

Tralla

BJ entered their quarters. He watched his wife pace for a little while. He didn’t know why she was so anxious. Was it something to do with the refit. Was it something with her family. Half of it didn’t like him much. Not that Tralla cared about that. “Always wanted to see if someone could tunnel through the floor. You good?”

Janzen

she heard him come in his joke eliciting an eye roll from her she still smiled and went to him wrapping her arms around him she kissed him deeply “We do need to talk about something” she said before leading him to their couch to sit and talk

Tralla

She wanted to talk. What had he done this time. Was it what he had said earlier? Was it something to do with the department? He didn’t know. “Ok. What did I do this time?”

Janzen

she laughed “Something you have been pestering me about and I have been stubbornly resistant too…Having more kids” she said smiling “I think…I think as much as I feel that a Starship is not a proper place to raise a child at the same time…after all of my talks with counselors and what not I feel that honestly we need to have a bigger family” she said smiling at him

Tralla

Did she just say a bigger family? They had a daughter; well her daughter; together. He was happy she was considering being a mother again. But, she didn’t need to do that. “Does that mean what I think it means?”

“yes Lets try for a baby I know we have talked about it in the past and that I have been kind resistant on the idea given how I feel about raising children on a starship but still. And given that Andorians have special dispensation I wont be loosing my Captancy over this” she said smiling

Andorians due to the struggles of keeping their population growing were given Special exceptions so that even in the fleet efforts could be made to keep the population growing though they still would need to jump through several hoops Tralla would need some special fertility treatments to make it so that Cross Species conception could be achieved

BJ was relieved. He thought she would drop that she was already pregnant. Not that he didn’t want children. He did and with her. He was simply happy that they had time to prepare. “What’s our next step? And what can I do to help?”

Tralla smiled “well I will need to undergo some medical procedures to make conception more likely so we will need to talk to KT about it I dont think she is to busy if your up for going and talking to her about it now” she said smiling

BJ was surprised at how quickly she was moving. It wasn’t that he minded that. They had been talking about children for the last few years. It surprised him by how resistant she had been before and now wanted to move almost at warp speed. He did understand that there would be some medical things being that they were of different species. But, he had also seen it could be done. Jade’s daughter Mia was proof of that. “Ok, If she’s not busy we can begin whenever you’re ready.”
