Aasrel made his way to the counselor’s office. It wasn’t something he looked forward to, but it was necessary. His active duty was dependent on regular counseling appointments.

He could incentivize himself to get it out of the way, though. Once this was finished, he could focus on settling in and getting back to work. And with getting to work he could get further away from the past.

He stepped up to the door and rang the chime, and then waited patiently. Like with medical, he hadn’t made an appointment, just wanted to get it done first day, so he figured she might be busy or with somebody else. If so, he’d come back later. No harm in checking, anyway.
