After getting herself unpacked and organised it was time to head to medical. She tapped her hip twice and Maddox rose from his cushion to follow her. Through the corridors they walked, Paige becoming more and more apprehensive as she went. She hated sickbay, hated doctors, hated scans. But it was a routine part of her job and of life. Medical care was essential and while part of her understood her apprehension and the reasons for it part of her also knew it wasn’t a rational fear.

She paused at the door, toon a steadying breath and glanced down at the furry creature who wove in between her ankles in a figure 8. She smiled and entered the bay looking around for someone to help her.

A moment after Paige entered the Sickbay a tall man in his thirties walked up to her, his expression was stoic as he look at her “Can I help you, Lieutenant?”

Paige physically came up from the floor as she jumped. The fox at her vet gave a low growl. Her had over her heart, the counsellor turned to look at the doctor and let loose a huge breath she hadn’t realised she had been holding in. “Oh! You startled me!” She said taking a second to collect herself. “I’m looking to make an appointment to do my new crew member evaluation.”
