OOC This side sim takes place about 4 months or so before the current mission. It is to explain the reason JT has been away (IRL I had a bunch of school stuff going on and had Kirt hide my character). I will be posting a short story of sorts in a separate side sim that will cover the events while I was gone leading upto JT’s promotion to XO and return top the Memorial. Stay Tuned =)

It was 0100 and JT had been half asleep for about an hour when the comm chimed =/\= LT Robinson, there is a secure message for you coming from Starbase 243. =/\=

“Ughh” JT moaned quietly. =/\= Thanks, Ill take it down here=/\= he replied as he made his way to his desk. Activating the display he was surprised by the face he saw

=/\= Admiral Carter… What can I do for you? =/\= JT asked. He and the admiral had a little bit of history; Carter was the Admiral that had demoted him back to JG the year before after a mishap at Starbase 112. Most had found humor in 3 tons of Andorian squash being blown into space after a flight stunt gone wrong had resulted in a cargo bay door being ripped off.

JT read the information as it came in. much of it was redacted, but from what he could tell, the situation was.. tense to say the least but wasn’t sure where he came into it =/\= Sir, how do I play into this?=/\= he asked trying to understand it all.

=/\= Well the simple truth is, I need a pilot. I cant give you the details over subspace, even on a secured channel, but more details will be explained when you get here. At the bottom of that transmission is a set of coordinates. You are to take a Runabout to those coordinates at which point a ship will rendezvous with you. The transmission details how you will know it is them =/\=. Before giving JT a chance to speak the Admiral continued =/\= You are to depart by 0500 this morning to make your meeting. speak to no-one about the details of this. Your CO has been alerted to your departure and your clearance to take a runabout has already been logged. Again, this is confidential. Speak to no one. Carter out. =/\=.

With that the screen went blank and JT was left re-reading the PADD in his hands. “Great…” he muttered. An hour later he had showered dressed and crammed a few things into a duffel bag and found his way to the shuttle bay. He was expecting it to be empty this time of night but as he approached the runabout he could see the familiar face of LT Allance (OOC I am placing here here with Mel’s permission as she will be joining in on this thread). ‘So much for not speaking to anyone’ he thought as he approached.
