BJ brought out the fabric bag from storage. He hadn’t had to use it yet. That was actually good since he hadn’t checked over it’s contents since leaving the Angel. He’d need to go through each of the boxes inside to make sure he had everything in the correct quantities. He had a list of what should be in the boxes. But, he would start on the outside. There were things on the outside that were incredibly important. He would need to start there to make sure he was fully prepped.

Karina continued to make her rounds and this time she was stopping to see Cmdr Janzen. She wanted to make sure, one she had a clear working relationship with this man. He was the Cpt’s husband after all. And also to make sure he’d settled in well. She had seen no indication that the previous XO had done so, and the title of ‘mission specialist’ was vague. Mission specialists were incredibly important but very rarely stayed on a ship past one or two missions. She wanted to make sure not only that the Cmdr was settled in off duty, but was feeling useful and challenged in his work. She approached his office and rang the chime.
