It was another one of those nights where we work just sort of dragged on for reasons that simply escaped her. It wasn’t like she was in the build stage anymore, but there were still a lot of details to monitor. A system as complex as the one she had helped design and put together required her to be on the ball and not miss the tiny advance warnings of issues. So there she found herself once again having some of the last of whatever stew Harv had sitting about. Good man, if still a bit squirrelly. She swore he’d been keeping it about because he knew she would always eat if it there.
Dragging her spoon around the edge of the bowl and stirring the outside portion in, Faye tucked some of her hair behind her ear. It was loose today and she had noted that the faded teal ends were looking a little worse for wear. Time to toss some colour in there again, she mused to herself as she enjoyed a few moments of quiet.

Luke had been looking forward to his late night rendezvous and though his unexpected companion didn’t know that he would be attending he was sure she’d appreciate it, so maybe he was lying to himself just a little. Having observed the data specialist for the past couple of weeks as promised since thier first encounter he had noticed that she was very muc a solitary person with very little social life and like him was a bit of an insomniac, or atleast a late night worker.
The woman he expected to be here right on schedule was sat alone pushing a bowl of stew around her plate with a spoon. He passed the counter and asked if there was any left and if he could have some on the same table as the Lieutenant.
“Good evening Lieutenant” He hovered a moment, “Would you care for some company, I promise to be civil” He offered, he was there as an insomniac and as someone who had a genuine interest in her. Whether it was because he still couldn’t drop that mysterious room of hers or other reasons he didn’t know himself. Luke decided not to wait any longer before taking a seat his own bowl of stew being placed infront of him. “I hear this is the best time for a late night snack”

Faye had been lost in thought, and while some would be surprised that she was the kind of person who could be snuck up, her mind wasn’t on the attack every minute of every day. Just every other minute, perhaps. The person slid into their seat before she could object and she found herself gazing at none other than Mr.Nosey. “Oh look, it’s my stalker,” she said dryly.
