Unlike people the Klingon had a way with animals, currently he had been checking on the ships guests as he waited for the science away team to return to the ship. With a medical tricorder in hand he had been recording vitals and making minor adjustments to nutrient intake to optimize their stead.

Later, the doors swished open. Moving quietly, as they were wont to do, the entrant simply leaned against the nearest wall and observed, arms folded across her chest. Her hair was a nondescript brown, though there were teal tips that had done some serious fading. Tied up in a ponytail, her hair hung above her shoulders. If anything was striking about the woman, it was her stormy grey-green eyes that calculated and noted and judged. Whether it was a good or bad thing simply was simply determined by the circumstances. Dressed in a sciences uniform with two full pips, she said nothing and simply watched.

As the Klingon was taking readings he stumbled slightly to the rukkus of what sounded like claws or hooves clattering about in a frantic tap dance. K’sang let out an irritable sigh before reaching over onto the table to pick up a bushel of celery that he tossed onto the floor ” Yi ‘Sop! ” he said energetically as the room filled with the excited squealings of what looked much like a wild boar started munching happily.” K’sang smiled warmly as he pet the targ before noticing he had been watched. In a very abrupt turn of characteristics all inviting actions and tones came to a sudden halt as he turned to regard Faye. “Is there something I can help you with?” he said with a slight sharpness to his tone, shuffling to keep the Targ out of sight.

Her stormy eyes keenly watched events unfold and if she was unnerved at all by his response, she didn’t show it. “Mayyyybe,” she said casually. “I was looking for our new science chief. I know I found him, but this was not what I was expecting.” Though Faye highly doubted anyone would have known what she was actually expecting. With all her experiences, she understood people were never ever a stereotype.

“Hrm, yes well.. You must be our local resident who’s taken over lab two?” he said setting down the scanning equipment. “I’m not exactly sure what it is you do in there, but i’ve been informed its best not to use that lab for anything else unless its of a dire circumstance.” Turning his attention to the targ, K’sang guided the creature into its holding pen.

Clearly her reputation preceded her, but at least this time it didn’t seem to cause any immediate animosity. “If you mean Computer Science Lab 2, then yep, that is me. And yes, the lab is locked and accessible by myself or the captain. I’m the ship’s data specialist. I make sure everything coming and going is secure and that the ship’s systems have the best protections they can/ some of my work involved sensitive equipment, hence the locked lab.”

“That’s fine with me, so long as its not a necessary space that needs to be used for dire circumstance I don’t really want to make changes to how the department conducts itself. Making big splashes only promotes resistance and I’d rather not be butting heads with everyone if i dont have to, its bad for research.” The Klingon locked the Targ’s enclosure before turning to Faye. “Do you have any staff you prefer to work in your space? I’d like to review our roster and find how to best compliment my team.”
