OOC: I’ll let you guys play out what you’d like the attack to feel like, and pick up after it’s done.

IC:

As the ships shaking subsided, a brief darkness was replaced with the dim lighting of emergency power. The dedicated sickbay generators took a few moments, but kicked in and light was restored just in time for the main doors to part and admit a veritable flood of wounded. Dozens of injured crawled, walked and were dragged through the doorways. Eemrgency transports started coming in directly to biobeds and ward floors as commlines became jammed with calls for emergency medical teams.

Ensign Baht closed one eye as indigo blood from a large gash across his forehead trickled down his hairless blue brow. The NEnsign supported by his shoulder stumbled, causing Shon’s muscles to groan and shoot with pain as he strained to steady them both. Together they waded through the crowd of rushing doctors attending to the other injured crew members in sickbay. Finally, Ensign Baht heaved the science officer onto the last empty biobed left in the surgical ward.

The hypospray supply cabinet was already almost empty. Baht swiped two cartridges and pushed his way back to the impaled woman he had retrieved from deck 8, wasting no time in administering the 2 mg of tetrovaline to her jugular. There was no time for merfadon. The surgeons needed to operate immediately.

Shon hesitated as he looked down at the other cartridge he had managed to nab. Then he took a breath, loaded the hypospray, and stuck it to his own neck, shuddering slightly as the dalaphaline coursed through his veins. He would need the stimulant to keep up with the sheer number of patients in the sickbay following the unexpected attack. Baht dove back into the fray, reenergized.

“Baht, start triaging them,” Jasmine instantly went from random paperwork to ER doctor as her people began to help those with the worst injuries to biobeds and minor ones to chairs. Reaching up she tapped her comm badge.

=/\=Sir do you need medical teams to the bridge,=/\= Jasmine commed in as she started to triage the causalities starting to be reported in.

Jasmine tried to not look around the room for anyone specific however a majority of the cases coming in appeared to be from engineering. This was the issue with serving aboard a ship with a lover or husband. When things turned bad you had to remember your training and have the fortitude and faith you partner was doing thier job just like you were doing yours.

OOC: I didn’t know whether you preferred me to list specific cases or if you wanted to be a little more freeform with it. Let me know, and I can add all that if needed.

Andy

Ensign Baht heard Doctor Wynter’s orders and scooped up a tricorder as he scampered across the sick bay. He paused at a freestanding terminal and slapped his finger across the controls, summoning the emergency medical hologram.

“Please state the –” the hologram began, before Shon cut him off. “There’s been an attack. Ship-wide damage and injuries. Triage patients for priority of care, then assist the surgeons.” Baht spun without waiting for confirmation and made haste for the administrative ward’s waiting room, where over a dozen officers sat slumped in chairs or against the walls.

Various levels of burns and physical trauma from bulkhead explosions seemed to be the most common source of injury among these patients. As Shon scanned these minor injuries, he grimaced. For the moment, there was not much they could do for them.
