Cochrane looked at the XO for few long moments considering. “No, Commander. I’m gonna have to go with allowing her the access to do her job as I was briefed she was doing. Besides, if her record is at all accurate, she’d pick up on any attempt to deceive her in that manner pretty damn fast. And we already have enough issues with trust and cross-communication… I won’t be adding to that. No… at this point… what are your thoughts on having a meeting? The three of us? Get us all on the same page and see where that leads? And just so you remember… I do know my way around interviewing suspects.” he said with a small grin. “You and I can compare notes afterwards and make a plan of action from there.”

“I still need to verify a few things, I don’t feel like vilifying someone until I know more. That way I can have more of a plan, it’s all just assumptions and suspensions right now.” Jack said, he wasn’t against the meeting but he had to have more details. He couldn’t operate on nothing.

Cochrane nodded and said “Then get to verifying, Commander. I want to get this issue settled, please. We have enough on our plates, things like this are just going to detract from the mission at hand.” and he paused and took a small drink. “Now, complete change of subject. How is the ship and crew doing? What other fires do we need to address?”
