“Would you like to try,” Jasmine asked not sure whether to push or back off. You could go through life not remembering you childhood friends or when you got your first kiss but your mother was something no one should ever forget. Balian seemed to have at least a pleasant recollection of her so Jasmine tried again. “I am not saying it would work but I also suscribe to the belief of why not try. Every once in a while miracles do happen.”

Balian smiled, and shrugged. “For now why mess with a good thing, I have a smiling face to recall, I’d rather not find out that was wrong, besides my brain might have jut run out of storage space. At least one theory says that, ” Balian pointed at the spear and shield, “Those were the height of Earth technology in my childhood years” Balian did not really always believe that, but he knew he had lived a long time, and really did not miss what he no longer recalled. “Besides it might all be wrong, and I m only 45 and messing with you” The Captain added sticking his tongue out.

“And I might be an intelligence agent in disguise sent to spy on you,” Jasmine said trying to put on her best mysterious expression. Looking at the clock on Balian’s wall Jasmine stood up. “Don’t be a stranger okay,” she smiled at Balian. “Captian or crewman, everyone gets lonely on these tin cans. The sickbay is not always for bumps and bruises. Sometimes the Sickbay requires more homemade medicinal cures. I like you have a few bottles tucked into the bottom drawer of my desk. I also have an ear for listening, long periods of downtime, and kinda short of friends her myself. Now unless you have something else I am on duty in fifteen minutes. Can’t have teh big boss man finding out I was late to my job,” she quipped with a grin.

Balain nodded, “Not much to learn, and well I was an unexpected arrival, so doubtful” Balain quipped then stood to see the Doctor out. “I try to limit my visits to sickbay, but only because I try to stay healthy, I am not afraid of the place, not really, I have been much worse places. By all means arrive on time, I hear your new Commanding officer can be a real Ogre.” Balian said as he came around the desk, and settled on the front edge.

“Oh I think I can handle him,” she said leaning against the door frame. “And for the record, I am never on time, I don’t listen to ship gossip so I am not sure how troll like the new CO is, and I think you are going to fit in great here.”
