After getting a brief update on the situation down at the jefferies tubes, Ensign Carla Beck moved to the ready room. She was in charge of the bridge while the Captain was working in the ready room and knew he’d want to be informed about explosion. Pressing the chime, she chewed on the inside of her cheek wondering what the heck happened down there.

“Come in.” came the CO’s voice. Looking up from the desk. he said “Yes, Ensign?”

Carla came to stand at parade rest in front of the desk. “Uh, just wanted to inform you that there was an incident down on Deck 14 in the jefferies tubes. There was an explosion in one of the plasma conduits. Chiefs Darrach and Wynter are investigating and the one casualty was taken to sickbay.”

Cochrane immediately looked concerned. “Who was injured, Ensign? And how seriously?”

“Lt. Calloway? She was doing work down there when the explosion occurred. Initial report from the team on site stated it was serious but not life threatening. We’re still waiting for an update from Sickbay.”

Cochrane rose to his feet. “Thank you, Ensign. You have the Bridge. I’ll be in Medical.” and he left the ready room and made his way to Sickbay. on the way, he tapped his commbadge. =/\= Cochrane to Wynter and Darrach. Once you have ensured there is no immediate danger to the ship or surrounding systems, meet me outside Sickbay, please. Do not attempt to remove or otherwise alter any non-standard equipment you find in that area. I will explain when you arrive. =/\=

Arriving at Sickbay, Cochrane walked in and looked around for the CMO and Calloway.
