She moved the crates over to the other stacks and moved them over one by one. Dusting her hands off, she faced him. “It looks worse than it is, I promise. I just have bene working at least twelve hour days since I got here trying to get this all sorted out so that I can actually do work. If I had to put everything away perfectly I’d waste valuable time pulling it all out the next day.” Faye smirked slightly. “I think in your inspection that would fall under a poor use of resources.”
Moving over to one of the many consoles, Faye logged in and brought up a window that started spewing code. “I just need to do one thing and then… I am… done,” she said as her fingers began to move swiftly. She’d pause for a moment, watch the screen and then furious type again. It last all of three minutes inputted one final comamnd and the screen went away.
Logging out and exhaling, Faye moved back to him. “Look at that. 2300 hours and finally dinner time.”

“Normal people are asleep by now. If 2300 is your normal dinner time, you may need to talk to Medical. That’s not healthy, Lieutenant.” he replied with a friendly chuckle. “But let’s go. I am starving.” and he lead them out of the Lab and quickly to the Officer’s Mess.
She laughed a bit and followed him out. “No, I don’t this late every night, but I tend to eat a large lunch and it carries me through most of the day. I can’t handle anything but a light meal later in the day.”
Walking in, the lights were on and sounds could be heard from the kitchen, but there were no others in the room. Cochrane looked around, having not been in the Mess until that moment. “Hey, this is pretty nice. Better than the Ark Angel’s. Hope the food is as good as the decor.”

“It’s pretty good. I eat here fairly regularly when I’m not grabbing something quick from the replicator, though it being so late we might be out of luck food-wise and it’ll be the replicator anyway.” Faye moved over to the main counter and poked her head around to see if she could get anyone’s attention. “Hello?”
She turned back to Cochrane. “I’m going for soup of variety I can get. What do you want?”
