Maeve took a deep breath and adjusted her uniform before she stepped on to the transporter. This by no means was her first ship, however she always had a general sense of nervous excitement whenever she found herself on a new ship. Having to start over with creating new friends and figuring out the style of her command crew. This time though she was arriving on the Manhattan as the Chief Tactical officer. The only people she really needs to report to is the XO and the Captain. This is just another step in her career to becoming a captain of her own ship.

Once she stepped on to the transporter she looked at the transporter chief. “Williams, take care of yourself. Make sure that Daughter of yours doesn’t get into too much trouble.”

The chief smiled. “Trying to keep her out of trouble is like asking water not to be wet.” He then placed his hand on the transport controls. “Take care of yourself Lt.Cmdr. Stay away from black water swamps.”

Maeve nodded and said “Energize.” With that she was gone and seconds later she re-appeared in the transporter room of the Saracen.

She looked around but didn’t see anyone but the ensign working the transporter. “Ensign, where is the XO or Captain? I was expecting one of them to meet me here when I arrived. You did tell them that I was beaming over.
