They were docking at Event Horizon. It was a massive space station on this side of the worm hole. Even after all this time it was still under construction. Shedda wondered if it would ever actually be done. Being at Event Horizon meant Leave for everyone. What tended to happen though was that the DHs and shift leads cut their own leaves short to give others extra time. They would be here three weeks. So there was no reason for anyone to cut their time short. On top of leave, there was also the supply deliveries. So with both those in mind, Shedda made her way through the ship to check in with people. Right now she was looking for Cmdr. Fayth. =/\=Computer, Location of Lt Cmdr Fayth?=/\=
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
=/\= Lieutenant Commander Fayth is in the COS office. =/\= the computer responded.
In his office, Eilah sat at his desk, working. Just finishing things up, making sure things were in order. Three weeks was a long time, and he was planning on hitting up Ben and seeing what his plans were. He didn’t want work coming up with any interruptions. Oh! And he needed to call Sharah.

A few minutes later, Shedda pressed the bell outside Fayth’s office.
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
“Enter,” Eilah called through the door. When Shedda walked in, Sisnil smiled. “Checking in, are we?” He said. He didn’t mean to do it, honest, but Shedda, by nature of her species, was so easy to read, she gave him a hit of what it was like to be Sharah.
~ Fayth, COS
Shedda nodded as she entered. She had long ago accepted she was easy for telepaths to read. It usually made things easier. “Making sure everything is squared away. That way everyone takes their leave.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Eilah laughed. “Good luck, Commander,” he said. He gestured to the work station, “Don’t have to worry about me this time. I’m making sure everything is ‘squared away’ to use your term and then I’ve got plans.”
~ Fayth, COS
“Good. Here is the final supply list for your department. Look it over and make sure it is all there, nothing extra. It will be delivered tomorrow.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Eilah took the list, letting it load onto his PaDD. “Tentatively, everything looks good. If there is anything that needs to be changed, I will let you know.”
~ Fayth, COS
“Thank you. Anyone you want me to keep an eye on while your on leave?” Shedda gave him a look, “You are taking leave.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Eilah gave her a sheepish look. “Loud and clear, Commander, loud and clear. I’ll put together a file for you.”
~ Fayth, COS
Shedda smirked, aware she hadn’t quite scheduled her own leave yet. Right now she was more concerned with the rest of the crew and getting Cochrane to actually take time off. “We’re running skeleton shifts, but we will need coverage at the docking ports to check all the teams coming in and out. We can combine that with operations to help out if you need it.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
“I’ve got it, Commander. And by the way, you had best be scheduling your own leave.” He looked up at her, “I’ll check when I get back, Shedda.”
~ Fayth, COS
“And what exactly would you do, Eilah?” Shedda laughed. “No worries. I do intend to take my own leave, just as soon as I make sure everyone else is scheduled and the captain has taken his first.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
“I will conspire with Be- Doctor Hudson to make you take leave,” Eilah laughed. “You are as important as the Captain is to this crew.”
~ Fayth, COS
Shedda laughed, “I believe the two of you would do it, too. No worries for me though, I have plans for leave.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
The communication system sparked to life after Shedda spoke. =^= Hudson to Commander Fayth. Do I have to make it a medical order for you to leave the ship, Sir? =^= the voice said, with a slight note of humour.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerShedda’s perfectly white teeth flashed between her green lips. So the good doctor was keeping an eye on their security chief. =/\=My apologies Dr. Hudson. I was going over leave arrangements and shift rotations with Commander Fayth. I won’t keep him any longer.=/\=
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Eilah grinned sheepishly and… Was that the slightest hint of a blush? =/\= “Not at all, Doctor,” he said, keeping up the formal pretense, but his tone was playful, “Like Mal’athar said, we’re finishing up arrangements and then I’ll meet you at the transporter room.” =/\=
~ Fayth, COS
=^= I’ll see you there! =^= came the Doctor’s voice, somewhat excitedly.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerShedda grinned. “Well, unless there is anything else to go over, I will let you get to your leave before the doctor comes looking.”
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Eilah laughed. “No, I think we’ve covered it all.” He said. “Thanks, Commander.”
~ Fayth, COS
Shedda smiled, “Anytime. Enjoy your leave.” She turned and headed out of the office. She was on to her next stop.
