They were docking at Event Horizon. It was a massive space station on this side of the worm hole. Even after all this time it was still under construction. Shedda wondered if it would ever actually be done. Being at Event Horizon meant Leave for everyone. What tended to happen though was that the DHs and shift leads cut their own leaves short to give others extra time. They would be here three weeks. So there was no reason for anyone to cut their time short.

On top of leave, there was also the supply deliveries. So with both those in mind, Shedda made her way through the ship to check in with people. Right now she was looking for Cmdr. Fayth. =/\=Computer, Location of Lt Cmdr Fayth?=/\=

=/\= Lieutenant Commander Fayth is in the COS office. =/\= the computer responded.

In his office, Eilah sat at his desk, working. Just finishing things up, making sure things were in order. Three weeks was a long time, and he was planning on hitting up Ben and seeing what his plans were. He didn’t want work coming up with any interruptions. Oh! And he needed to call Sharah.

A few minutes later, Shedda pressed the bell outside Fayth’s office.

“Enter,” Eilah called through the door. When Shedda walked in, Sisnil smiled. “Checking in, are we?” He said. He didn’t mean to do it, honest, but Shedda, by nature of her species, was so easy to read, she gave him a hit of what it was like to be Sharah.

Shedda nodded as she entered. She had long ago accepted she was easy for telepaths to read. It usually made things easier. “Making sure everything is squared away. That way everyone takes their leave.”

Eilah laughed. “Good luck, Commander,” he said. He gestured to the work station, “Don’t have to worry about me this time. I’m making sure everything is ‘squared away’ to use your term and then I’ve got plans.”

“Good. Here is the final supply list for your department. Look it over and make sure it is all there, nothing extra. It will be delivered tomorrow.”

Eilah took the list, letting it load onto his PaDD. “Tentatively, everything looks good. If there is anything that needs to be changed, I will let you know.”

“Thank you. Anyone you want me to keep an eye on while your on leave?” Shedda gave him a look, “You are taking leave.”
