Posted by… suppressed (21) by the Post Ghost! 👻Sharah had spent too many years of following Eilah around because he was one of the few people she felt safe around, and too much psychic input of things she never wanted to know. He was doing something in that tone of voice. And apparently with the CMO. She giggled. She knew what all that meant. =/\=I haven’t told the Doctor anything. That doesn’t even scratch the surface.” She laughed, “Well, I suppose I will have to schedule an official call so I can meet this doctor. I have very high expectations Eilah. Enjoy your date.=/\= She hid her disappointment at ending the call behind her happiness for him. She lived Eilah dearly and she was thrilled he had found someone. Even if only temporarily. All the way out there the shadow of what she was couldn’t affect her brother’s life anymore. =/\=Love you, Eilah.=/\=
Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
“I’ll- well, we’ll, call you soon. Love you, Sharah.” Eilah said, and ended the call. Then grinned at Ben. “Sorry ‘bout that.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben smiled. “No need to apologise!” He said, placing his hand on Eilah’s back. “Besides, I’m not the one who is glowing a nice shade of crimson,” he continued, giving Eilah a little wink.
“It’s clear that you mean a great deal to Sharah, although I’m still impressed she knew you were on a date,” he said, before pausing for a moment. “Hopefully I will live up to her expectations.”
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical Officer“It’s the way I said ‘something important’ I think,” Eilah replied. “We’ve been around each other so much, I’d be able to do the same to her.” He smiled, “It would’ve been less embarrassing if she hadn’t brought up my alleged ‘reckless, heroic tendencies’.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben smiled as he turned to full face Eilah. “Well, I want to know all about these reckless…” he placed a hand on Eilah’s chest. “…. heroic…” he gently gripped some of Eilah’s shirt. “… tendencies.” He gently pulled the shirt, leading Eilah toward him as he placed a kiss on his lips.
The way he said it, his hand against Eilah’s chest was… Just the right way to do it. Eilah kissed back, letting his arms come around Ben.
After a few seconds, he broke off the kiss. “You realise that we haven’t actually told the turbolift where to go?” He said with a smile.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah laughed softly. “I’d be content to stand here all night. But you’re right, we should probably vacate the lift.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben chuckled. “Deck 4.” he said looking upwards away from Eilah, as if the computer was in the lift with them. “I’m assuming your quarters are on Deck 4 with the rest of the Department Head quarters?” He asked, checking that he was sending them in the right direction.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical Officer“Yeah, they are,” Eilah replied as the lift started to go up. “My room’s the last one on the end. Makes it a tiny bit more private.” He said and grinned mischievously. “Comes in handy from time to time.”
~ Fayth, COS
“Ahh, I’m halfway down… the end one was taken when I asked about it.” Ben said with a mocking look. “It does mean that I get to hear most of the comings and goings on the deck.” he said with a grin.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical Officer“Sounds like it’s time I do something nice with my space. With any luck, we’ll be spending a lot of time there.” Eilah replied with a grin. “Hearing the coming and goings can be interesting, but when I’m off duty, I prefer the peace and quiet.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben chuckled. “If you’re anything like me, you’ll have just thrown your bag in the room, and then got stuck into the job. My quarters need me to put a bit more effort into making them look homely.” he said. “Oh, and at some point I wouldn’t mind getting the department heads together for a card game or two.” he continued, remembering the times he used to play seven-card brag as a child with his grandparents.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical Officer“Well… Yeah. That’s exactly what I did.” Eilah admitted. “Oh! A card game is a great idea! You have to invite Sair, too.”
~ Fayth, COS
The turbolift came to a half, and opened up on Deck 4. “Of course!” Ben replied. “I still consider her to be a department head, civilian or not.” he said with a smile. “Have you been able to speak to her since her mother died?” he asked, a slight note of concern in his voice.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah nodded. “I spent some time with her. I can feel her grief…” Eilah sighed a long sigh. “She’ll be alright, but it’ll take time. I told her I’d meet up with her weekly, do something fun.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben smiled and gave Eilah a squeeze around his shoulders with his left arm as they walked down the corridor. “Thank you, she’ll appreciate that,” he said. “I spoke with her father the other evening, and he’s going to be heading back to Kobliad soon…” he paused. “He would be grateful for you looking out for Sair.”
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah smiled. “It’s best the crew look out for each other. Even counselors need someone. Can’t do her job effectively for the rest of us if no one’s there for her.”
~ Fayth, COS
“That’s very true,” Ben replied. “And by the sounds if it, you’ll need to look out for me so that I can patch you up after some ‘heroic tendencies’” he said, using his fingers to illustrate the speech marks around the two words, whilst giving Eilah a sly smile.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah blushed lightly. “It’s really not as bad as she makes it out to be, I promise. Sharah makes it sound like I’m off doing something stupid every chance I get.” When Ben read his medical records, he’d have seen there were numerous reckless injuries in his past. His records aligned with Sharah’s version of things.
~ Fayth, COS
“I seem to remember a broken arm and a torn ligament,” Ben said with a smile. “And as I think I said back then, I really don’t mind healing people… that’s kind of the job… when they try to ignore it, now that’s what irks me.” he said, wagging his finger in mock irritation.
“Besides, for some reason, I get the feeling you would find a reason for me to give you the once over.” he said, biting his bottom lip somewhat mischievously.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah eyed him. “Good memory.” He grinned, “No I don’t think you will. Though if you do.... A bribe goes a long way.” He commented and his look turned equally mischievous

Ben chuckled a little. “Depends on what your price is,” he said with a smile, as they found themselves outside Eilah’s quarters.
“Is this you?” He asked, putting aside the fact they were at the end of the corridor and the door sign had Eilah’s name on it.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical Officer“Oh, I have a few ideas,” Eilah said. He nodded and set a hand on the door. “Sadly, yes, it is.”
~ Fayth, COS
“Hey, don’t be too sad,” Ben said, putting a hand on his shoulder. “I’ve had a great night, and there is always tomorrow.” he said with a grin.
Lt. Hudson
Chief Medical OfficerEilah grinned. He set a hand on Ben’s shoulder and pulled in him in. Then he kissed him. “I want to see you again… Soon.”
~ Fayth, COS
Ben flashed a wry grin. “Does the 0800 Department Heads meeting not count?” he said, with a hint of sarcasm.
