Settling in had not taken as long as Devin had expected now that it was time to actually meet up with the head of department, meeting the other security officers, and find out her assignment(s), for her duty shift she was only slightly nervous. New ship, new crew and more folks to prove that she was more than capable even if she was shorter than the average officer. She didn’t mind folks thinking less of her when push came to shove she preferred surprising them at any rate. It was better in her opinion that they took for granted her small stature instead of realizing she was more than happy to offer out of the box thinking when dealing with trouble or hunting it down when someone caused it. Devin stood at ease in the office waiting for the rest of the officers to show up.

From down the hallway came Eilah, followed by multiple officers. He stopped when he saw her, then smiled. “Ensign Kindle! My new Security officer. I’m the security chief. Name’s Eilah.” He held out a hand. “You’re settled in? Ready to go?”

Devin grinned cheekily at him and the officers behind him, “Yes Sir, settled, sorted, and ready for whatever needs investigation or anything else you really want me to get started on.” She was more than ready for whatever lay ahead.
