Faye herself probably would have responded similarly herself, but she found it interesting that he talked about the ship itself and not the crew. Her question was open to interpretation of course, but perhaps it said something about his leadership style? She simply tucked that tidbit away for later reflection. “Well, I look forward to getting stuck in. So unless you have any further questions for me, I should probably go settle in and have all these meetings I’m needing to have.”

“By all means, if you need me you know where to find me. I look forward to hearing from you Miss Calloway.” Jack said with a nod as he stood up walking her to the door. “Also if you want, I would love to have you by for dinner. Celina Rodriguez, the CoS is my fiance’ and we don’t entertain often. If you would like we can have dinner and get to know each other more if you feel up to it.” he offered, he was curious to learn more and he didn’t know what he quite felt about her having the powers she was getting set up as on the ship.

The scientist was genuinely surprised and it showed on her face. “Uh… sure. Just let me know when and where.” His offer was genuine, but that didn’t mean Faye had been expecting it. Still, she wasn’t going to give up an opportunity to get to know these people better, and it was rather useful that the opportunity was falling into her lap so eaily.
