Making her way down to engineering, Shedda was looking for Kaia. Shedda had met her very briefly before Kaia had gone home to visit family. Shedda wanted to make sure the Galdori ensign was settling in and adjusting to being back aboard the Manhattan. Entering engineering she was pointed in the direction of her query and made her way over. “Good morning, Ensign. How are you today?”

Kaia was stuffed into a small access area that humans couldn’t easily reach, tweaking a valve that had been causing some issues. Her feet and tail stuck out the opening to the area, the end of her tail twitching as the concentrated. Hearing a voice, the raka twitched her tail once, then shouted. “Just gonna be a sec, then I can talk.”

She finished the adjustment, then used her flexibility to wiggle out of the little hole, looking up at the woman who had requested her attention. She kipped up, jumping from her back to her toes with remarkable easiness and gave the XO a small bow of respect.

“I’m doing well, Commander, how are you?” She vaguely remembered a lunch with the woman before her departure, perhaps? It had been a long two years and a lot had happened.
