Hey all you Manny-acs,

I just finished up the Fleet Report for this period and I wanted to ask you all something a few things so I and Jenn can see where we are and where we need to go in the next few months. So… here a few questions for you all. If you aren’t comfortable responding here, shoot me a note. Happy to talk via email as well.

How are you liking the Manny?
What would you like to see happen in the next few months?
Are you happy with your character / position?
Do you have any concerns?
What can the Command staff do to make things more fun for you?

Let me know your thoughts. And it doesn’t have to be just these questions. Tell us what’s on your mind. We are all here to have fun and enjoy writing with one another. So whatever we can do to make that happen we will try to do.

Okay as the classic line starts out It’s not you it’s me.... but it really is me. :) Hope that made one person smile but I will settle for a lip twitch. Before I answer the questions I want the CO, XO, and GM to know I appreciate you guys so much and for working with me as life broadsides me at times like a teen with a new driver’s license. You guys are the best command team.

How are you liking the Manny?
I do and always will love the Manny. It is a great ship. I find there are a lot of great stories but not as much time as I would like to join them since I am not able to always post more than 2-3 times a week or sometimes treading water.

What would you like to see happen in the next few months?
My life to slow down so I can become more active in the side sims and such. Again they are great stories and while I might not be writing in them, I do enjoy reading them.

Are you happy with your character / position?
Yes.

No

What can the Command staff do to make things more fun for you?
Okay, this is purely egocentric for me because there are PLENTY of places for me to post and I can absolutely start my own side sim or reach out to the command staff with RP ideas. I know you and Jen are always willing. Maybe a “light” post with the holidays coming up. By light, I mean pure fun and laid back. For me, I find when I feel frustrated with myself, if I have a simple thread to respond to it gets my creative juices flowing.

Again I want to be clear that the command staff has always been open and willing to RP, talk about stories, or write with my ideas. My suggestion was more of a thread idea than a suggestion about what the command team can do for me. They are so supportive and I am honored to be a part of the Manhattan family.

I’m with Kate on the idea of a group thread where people can interact more. Most of Sair’s threads dried up because the players left the ship so I’ve been struggling to keep momentum with her. She’s been on the ship awhile now and I’m still struggling to make her feel like a part of the crew. I would just love to have more people to write with and if there are characters actively avoiding the counsellor, then a more social setting might help.

Alright so we have two threads up on offer. The first is laid back and centered off duty for everyone on the crew from the youngest babe to the oldest, from civilian to officer. An outdoor movie night. Everyone has been asked to bring a hot beverage of their choice to share with the rest of the crew.

The second is a diplomatic thread. We are hosting a delegation from Ildaria. There is very little actually listed on memory alpha about them so be creative. You can play as your regular character, an NE, or even a member of Ildarian delegation.
