“Same. I see no reason to withhold that next step. She has the makings of a good leader as well,” Sair said, before stifling a yawn.

“Okay, last one is Doctor Mitchell. My only concern is a bit of flippancy in regards to patients. A part of it seems to be just a weak bedside manner, as their work is flawless and they obviously know what they are doing as a doctor, but I’ve worked with physicians like this before and they tend to accumulate patient complaints and it’s time before there’s an actual incident.”

“There is a difference between a good doctor who has trouble connecting with patients but genuinely cares, and what appears to be going on with him.” She glanced through some information. “He has more complaints than anyone else and not just patients. Some of the nurses and medics have complained. I think a refresher course in whole patient care might help and then if there are no more complaints we can revisit his evaluation next time.”

“Sounds good to me,” Songz said.

Shedda added his name to the list of people she would speaking with in person. She pinched the bridge of her nose and rubbed slightly. Staring back at the PaDD she saved her notes. “And done.”

Sair blew out a breath and all but sank into the sofa. “That was… a lot. We definitely deserve a break. What do you feel like? Dinner in the Lounge, or you’re more than welcome to have dinner with us in my quarters. Might be quieter, depending on Koro’s mood. That and none of the crew can bug you,” she said with a slightly wicked gleam in her eyes.

Shedda sat back and stretched her legs out a bit and grinned, and waved a hand. “My last XO told me to always take the evening to myself after these. ‘The crew is always trying to be noticed’ during these things. He suggested decompressing after, before the reviews officially go out. Quiet, or at least less public sounds great.”

Sair was very much an advocate of people taking alone time when they needed it, especially when someone was in a position of authority. Such time could be so very precious. “You know, we don’t have to do dinner tonight. Tomorrow would be equally nice. Your XO is right that taking time for yourself is really important. If you need that, I promise I won’t be offended.”

Shedda shook her head and held up a hand, “Oh no. Not at all. Most of my time is spent alone. I have not exactly made a lot of time to socialize. If it’s not too much I would very much like to share a meal with your family and meet your son and mother.” The XO made a small wave of her hand and let out a breath. “Besides, in all honesty, it will save me from sitting in my quarters staring at my console waiting for a reply from the judge.”
