A snort caught in her throat as she chewed a bite of her food. “That would be a first,” she said after a moment. “Can’t say I’ve been thanked for socializing before.” Faye leaned forward slightly with an almost conspiratorially grin. “Might be best if you not tell anyone. It might ruin my highly crafted reputation as a social misfit. Then where would I be?”

Hammor shrugged slightly and grinned. “Stuck with me I guess. But from where I sit, anyway, I can think of worse things.” he said with a chuckle. “And careful there. Last time I did the Heimlich on someone, I broke two of their ribs.” and he laughed.

He was funny, she had to give him that. Then again Faye had found herself do more smiling in the last while than she had in years, so it wasn’t just him. Still, he was pretty funny and she was enjoying the time she was spending with him, even though she should probably continue wit the rest of her meetings today.

“I’ve been through worse,” Faye said seriously, despite the smirk she wore.
