Nancy tapped a nail against the PaDD. “Counselor, is there any consistency to the time variations? Some seem more. Some less. But is there any statistics where people are in a kind of time group?” She scrunched up her face. “What I mean is, genetically, are there people who aged or decreased by similar lumps in time? I’m not sure if anyone has been tested this way or not yet. Brian mentioned linear. But do you think that linear could be say, like multiple waves? One person is affected by one and has a age variation of X. Another perhaps is affected by two and so has 2X for variation?”

Intrigued, Sair gazed at Nancy, her eyes narrowing as she through things through. “It would be hard to plot the statistics on it unless we got scans of the crew. But we have a good subset here already. We Kobliads all moved forward it seemed.” Drawing in a breath with a realization, she nodded. “Okay, so unless there is another event, we have to work with the information we have already.”

Songz waved her mother over and the dark haired Kobliad joined them. She quickly explained the idea but Kel frowned. “But where does that information get us? How does it help us?’

Sair sighed. “I don’t know. But right now the lack of information makes it difficult to do anything. Can you grab me another PADD?” Kel nodded and retrieved the device, gathering information from the system. “Okay, so let’s take the readings we have for everyone in here first. We can gather more data but… I’m going to have it sorted by species and see if that plays a role in the reaction. If not, then maybe there is a different genetic component we can look at.”

=/\=Songz here, Commander. We’re managing the patients that have come in and trying to see if there is a correlation between the aging forward or backwards and species. Not sure if there is anything significant there, but we’ll let you know if we come up with anything. How is the situation up there?=/\= It was weird not to know what was happening on the ship outside of Medical, but that wasn’t so different than working in a hospital.

I don’t want to pull anyone away that Dr Wynter might need. If she can’t be spared or anyone else, I would like a report on the symptoms so we can ask our hosts and see if they have any medical knowledge that might help.=/\=

Sair was a bit torn. Her role as a counsellor could be useful, but they had diplomatic staff. And if another wave hit them and her and her mother, Fates Forbid, needed more dueridium and they weren’t close by it could be a terrible situation. “You should go. But officially grant me privileges with the computer? We can put my medical background to use too if needed.” Her mother wad exceptionally competent but was not a doctor.

Brian said, “They have the source? Single source, so a single wave pattern?”
Nancy looked up. “What?”
“I’d been thinking. Multiple sources and perhaps us touched by one micro-intersectionality, some two, some more. Stronger the intersection the stronger the effect? But if it’s single, then that may rule that out given the distances.”
Nancy shrugged. “That kind of distance. Light years. Across the sector. That would need really wide sources. A single source? Ain’t gonna happen for multiple.”
“Still vying for Q as a possibility.”
Nancy sent over a ‘face’ that said, yeah, right. Too easy.
“What if you had very tight multiple source waves? I mean very tight,” Brian asked.

Looking at the data with the Counselor from what they had and what was coming in slowly from around the ship, with now 153 crew polled (given the time taken in traveling to the world) bringing it together showed:
101 polled. Humans showed the greatest variability, with degrees on either younger to older.
34 polled. Vulcans showed the least, but most consistent variability, showing most a modest younger tendency.
3 polled. Tellarite had little data to suggest a tendency.
8 polled. Andorians showed no change at all, perhaps due to their physiology or something else.
9 others of mixed race including the Kobliads. Apart from the Kobliad’s being higher, the polling numbers were inconclusive rather like the Tellarites.

Sair looked over the list and while there were definitely correlations the trick was seeing how it helped them or not. She looked over at Nancy and Brian. “I’m pretty smart but I did not follow any of that. Can you rephrase it for medical science person?” she said with a grin.
