Hey everybody. I’m really sorry for being gone for so long. I wanted to explain and to give you a timeline for my return.

My wife has had some serious and sudden medical issues arise, and dealing with that has been a nightmare unlike anything I have ever had. Between insurance refusals, lab work, pre-surgery workups, the entire family getting the flu, having to go to a different f-ing state just to get the surgery done, and so on; we have been under the gun for a while now. But we have (hopefully) turned the corner and she will be having surgery next week. Once that is done, relief for her should be almost immediate with a few weeks to fully recover. That is where things stand. I am hoping by week after next to be able to resume posting and getting caught up everywhere.

I really appreciate all of you being patient and understanding. The messages I have received have been most welcome and supportive, and I really appreciate all of you more than you know. Thank you for your understanding.

Take all the time you need to take care of your wife and also yourself and family. We will be here whenever you are ready.

As for myself, my work situation has changed dramatically with an infusion of a (rather keen) new team which (annoyingly) starts early like me and where I’d normally post. I’m in transition to fathom a new routine which has not been as easy as thought. Age it seems is catching up to me and the days are leaving me rather tired (in being surrounded by eager puppies all day!) but trying!
