Cochrane smiled slightly and said “Really? Now when does music not help, Counselor?” and he chuckled softly. “Yes, it does. And it helps to work as well. Not to ignore what happened, mind you… but to clarify why I made some choices the way I did. And why she chose as did , too.”

“Did those choices bring about the end of the relationship?” Sair asked. While in their first meeting he had mentioned talking about it later, she was glad he had brought up this event himself. It meant he was open to working on the fallout of it and not avoid it.
