Find the Grace (Tag Sair)

The Highest Calling of Our Lives is to Find the Grace in the Very Place We Stand - Caroline Jones (Rise)

It had been a very long night, but eventually she had fallen back asleep. She understood the psychology behind the night terrors, the flash backs, and the phisiology connected to the psychology, and why her body reacted with the fight or flight response, and the physical reactions to now healed physical trauma. It didn’t make it easier in the moment. Before she even opened her eyes, she concentrated on breathing deeply, feeling the air move through her lungs. Then she sat up slightly, bent her knees and moved the flat of her feet against the sheet. Concentrating on the feel of the material and letting the sensation ground her in the moment. A different technique than she’d used earlier in the night.

After several minutes Revna got up and moved into the other room and to her desk and began to braid her hair. Revna didn’t expect to get in today, she’d count herself lucky if she did, but she knew how busy a counselor could be. “Computer display available appointments with Ship’s Counselor Sair Songz for today and tomorrow.” The computer trilled and Revna took the first available appointment.

At the appointed time Revna took the turbolift to deck 8 and followed the corridor around until she came to the office door and rang the chime.
