“I commend you for your efforts on that task, Dilithium regeneration is no easy task. In my opinion I have always figured we should figure out a way to reduce the need for it or get rid of it completely. Anything that requires the use of a retlitvly rare resource is damaging to the environment. Me personalty I would like to see us develop a dark matter power source as it is the most abundant resource in the universe.” Xeal picked up the pitcher of water that was on the table infront of them and pourd himself a glass.

“My other thought was Zero point energy. But that alone carries it’s own ethical problems. We don’t know which dimention the energy would come from and if it would affect any other life.”

Alison quietly entered the lounge knowing she was beyond late. Audrey had still been in a fowl mood when Alison had dropped her off in the labs, and getting her settled had been a chore.

She looked around the room hoping to find a quiet place to settle quickly. Even after changing her uniform you couldn’t tell it. Her left sleeve was practically none existent, and the front had what looked to be teeth marks in it.

She let out of soft sigh as she made her way over to where the others had gathered hoping to not be noticed.

“Ensign, why is your uniform torn?” inquired Xeal.

So Spartacus wasn’t the only one late. That was good. He was happy since he hadn’t been well the last couple days. This was the first time he could get out to do any kind of science work.

“Audrey did it Sir! Second uniform she’s destroyed in less then three hours.” She took a deep breath and tried to relax. “Wasn’t expecting a plant to be that aggressive”

When she boarded the shuttle 3 days prior she had been just a seed in her pot, and over night had sprouted into a daemon from the underworld .

“You were attacked by a plant?? That’s… that’s fascinating! I’ll have to see this.... uh… later, perhaps.” Monsant’s enthusiasm waned as he remembered he was at a meeting, technically.

“Interesting, and you said that this plant of yours was just a seedling yesterday? I have never heard of any plant life growing so quickly from seed. I have seen and heard of plants growing a foot or two in height once they have sprouted. Such as earths bamboo tree.”

Calloway watched the two other women enter and checked her mental list of crew, but unless she made eye contact with them, wasn’t going go out of her way at this moment to engage them. It was a group meeting and they were all going to find our more about how they’d be working together. Or in her case, mostly on her own, but sometimes with others. It was going to vary.

OOC: Okay boys and girls looks like mini sim won out. Give me a couple days to sort out a mini sim plot and then I will change the name of our thread here.

This is going to be exciting.

Xeal stood on his chair and got everyone’s attention. “I wold like to thank you all for coming out to our meeting here. But I believe it is now time for a change in venue. If everyone could follow me to holodeck 2 for some some fun. I have created a holodeck program just for our little group.”

Xeal got off the chair and beckoned everyone to follow him. He then turned to Kane, “Ensign your with me.”

As they all reached the turbolift it was plain to see that not everyone was going to fit into the lift. Xeal along with Kane entered the turbolift. “We will see the rest of you in the holodeck.” The doors closed and the lift began to humm speeding it’s way to where the holodecks are located.

“So Ensign Kane, Please tell me more about this plant of yours, it’s very intriguing.”

Monsant turned to the others, a bit disappointed; he had wanted to pester the botanist with queries about her fascinating plant. The disappointment faded quickly, however, as he turned to the rest of the scientists present. “So… anyone have any guesses what we’ll be doing in there?” he asked, as they waited for the second lift to arrive.

When Xeal and Kane arrived at the turbolift he spoke to the computer. =/\= Computer start program Xeal 31-Alpha.=/\= The computer blurped and beeped. =/\= Program ready.=/\= The holodeck doors hissed open and Xeal walked in.

The atmosphere was a little foggy, humid, and the holodeck looked like a rain forest.

Xeal then turned to Kane. “Is this about the environment that your plant is supposed to come from?”
