Soaking up the sensation of his lips on hers (they were tingling) Faye smiled beneath their kiss. “You are making it hard to leave though,” she said pulling away.

Stepping away, Faye turned and fished out her key card. “Back in a jiff.” A tap and beep and Faye disappeared into her room.

Inside, Faye exhaled before grinning widely, thinking about his reaction. Yes, just. Like. That. She took a moment to set the roses upright in a vase (she removed the fake flowers rather cheekily), and once again left the room.

Stepping out, Faye beamed. “Well, then dinner awaits and I look forward to strolling there with you.”

Daggum offered her his arm and said “The evening awaits my love. Let us adjourn.” and he led her to the lift. As the doors closed, he grinned and said “So I met your mom today.”

Faye rested a leather gloved hand on the side of the life. “Oh yeah? Did she do the scary Shara trick? You know, serious piercing eyes and uncomfortable silence? It’s very good, and she plays it very well.” It didn’t surprise her that her mother slipped into the picture in her own way. Her mother was protective her and while some might find it annoying, after all they’d been through, Faye found it kinda endearing.

“Yeah, something like that. Told me I needed to tell her what she needed to know.”

“I told her no. Told her that what you and I do and say and are is up to us and is nobody else’s business but ours. And I told her that you are safer with me than anyone else in the universe. Not sure what her reaction was, because I let the doors on the lift close.” and he looked down at her. “Hope that’s okay with you.”
