Micah smiled and kissed her deeply. Pulling back he said “Mama Bear gonna protect those cubs, ain’t she?” and he smiled. “I don’t see a reason you can’t ‘bump into the guy’ and get an idea for yourself. As long as you play it cool. But don’t get your hackles up… don’t want Faye knowing you are conducting an Op on her beau.”

She laughed. “Oh sweetheart, you’ve met my daughter, right? Tousled with her encryption. I assure you she’s not only expecting it of me but knows exactly how I’ll make it happen before I do. But I’m not going to let that stop me,” she said with a grin, slipping back down the bed to lay next to him again. reaching a hand over, she rested it on the side of his face.

Gazing at this unusual and surprising man, Shara whispered, “Alright darlin’, your turn. You pulled me from the brink, my turn to reassure you about your nightmares.”

Micah smiled and looked down at her. “Whoa whoa whoa… hold yer horses, there. Ms. Shara Elaine Calloway… did you just call me ‘sweetheart’ and ‘darlin’ ’ in almost the same breath?” and he grinned and kissed her. He pulled back ever so slightly, so that as he spoke his lips brushed against hers, and whispered “You keep that up and you may just start me thinkin’ that you’re fallin’ for me.” and he pressed his lips to hers and held her cheek with his fingers. Again he pulled back, but kept their lips touching. “‘Cause right now my only nightmare is that you won’t.” and he kissed her solidly again… and this time didn’t break the contact.

Wrapping an arm over him, she kissed him back, full of longing. Her desire had been well sated and she was too enamoured with this intriguing feeling that has settled into her body. She wasn’t entirely sure what it was though, but her curiosity was definitely piqued. And then the kiss shifted, at least on her end. She seemed to sink into it. She wouldn’t be able to place it in that moment, but Shara surrendered just a little bit.
