Alex looked at Faye, then up at Daggum. “Lieutenant. And I am guessing this is Lieutenant Commander Hammor. Commander, Captain Alexander Cochrane.” and held out his hand.
Daggum took the hand and said “Captain. A pleasure. Faye has spoken very highly of you, sir.” “And you, Commander.” Alex replied and shook his hand twice and then let it go. “So I’m guessing this is a social visit, hmm?” and then he smiled.
Faye looked between the two men. I could be rather awkward to have the man you used to have a crush on and was now your best friend meeting the man you were in love with an embarking on a long -distance relationship that defied definition. “Just had to grab something from my quarters but that meant we got to check on Tess.”
“Lieutenant. Lieutenant Commander. Go. Enjoy yourselves. Thats an order.” and he stepped around Daggum and to the lift. Before he stepped in, he turned back.
“That’s the plan,” Faye said, giving Alex a cheeky slaute.
“I suppose I should make some declaration like ‘Hurt her and I’ll kill you.’ or some such. But I think we are all a bit past that.” and the doors opened and he stepped inside. “But if you hurt her, a lot of people will.” and the doors slid closed.
“Nice to see you, Alex,” Faye said with a grin.
Daggum looked at the door and blinked. He then looked at Faye. “Um… is he always that intense?”
Daggum
“Only on Mondays,” Faye deadpanned before her expression shifted. “I think it goes without saying that he’s a part of my chosen family. I don’t have a lot of family Dag, but what I do have is decidedly protective.” She gave him a wink. “I think that means you’re in.”
Walking backwards towards the docking port, held out a hand to him, all but craving the feeling of their fingers entwined. “Come on, yoga awaits us.”

Daggum took the offered hand in his and said “I’m gonna need it after that.” with a backwards glance to the closing hatch. “Remind me not to piss him off.” and he looked at her and grinned. “But I like he thinks so much of you that he threatened my life. Makes me think he may actually be able to keep you from blowing up the ship… again.” and he laughed out loud.
Dag
“Hey! I did not blow up the ship! And it was only a jefferies tube section. And it most definitely wasn’t me who didn’t divert power properly as was requested and then told me it was done.” Faye shuddered. “Trust me, not looking to experience a burning sensation again any time soon. I’ve had enough of that to last my life,” she said more seriously, brushing away that unsettling feeling that cropped up whenever she talked about what the Tal Shiar put her through. It was growing less and less as time went on- something she couldn’t have said a couple years ago before boarding the Manhattan.
Faye grinned at Dag as they moved through the docking port and back to the station, giving the ensign there a little wave as they went by. “And no, you don’t want to piss him off. I’ve seen it, it’s not pretty.”
