Faye took the glass for Kiama and had a sip as her mind started pondering. And pondering. Lowering her hand with the glass, Faye tilted her head slightly, squinting now and again as she contemplated the different ways that suggestion might go. “Huh,” she said finally. It felt longer to her because her mind was working so hard but it really had only been a few seconds. “I think you might be on to something, actually.” Faye nodded. “Yeah, let’s try that. We have to go to the replicator and grab some options anyway, which means”-she looked down at Tess-“you Missy are just going to have to move. Luckily for you I have a little bed you might like. Even got a small blanket I’ve had next to me while I sleep,” she said, directing the last comment to Kiama. “It’s supposed to help for a faster bonding.”

“I can see why that is supposed to help with bonding,” Kiama replied as she rose gracefully to her feet again. “Shall I hold your glass while you get up and show Tess her bed?” she asked as she reached out with one hand.

“Thanks,” Faye said, handing her glass over. At the moment the bed was in her bedroom but Faye figured it would make more sense to have it in the living room where they would be so Tess knew where they were. Scooping up the feline off her leg, Faye cradled her and carefully pushed herself to her feet. They slipped into the bedroom and Faye settled Tess in the cat bed with the blanket that smelled of Faye. With a quick stroke of her soft fur, Faye rose again and turned to Kiama. “Alright, good to go. She’s sound asleep it seems,” she said with a grin.

Walking towards the replicator, Kiama asked, “How do you like to go about this? What do you think will work best for you?”

“Umm, I’m thinking we grab anything and everything that might work ad then take it all back to my place. I can try everything on and then we simple recycle anything that doesn’t work. Work for you?”
