She smiled and as it had become a smile just for him. Of course Faye couldn’t see her own expression, but she could feel that warmth in her body that seeing him smile induced in her and it was one she hoped would never fully leave. “Well, I love it,” she said softly and tugged on his hand as she stepped on through the doorway to the next and final room.

He kissed her back and then pulled back and smiled. “So… what else do you want to show me? I’m game for anything.” he said. He just held her and looked at her, his green eyes sparkling in the low light.

Reaching a hand up, her fingertips caressed his iridescent skin. “Well, we could spend hours in the garden but that’s not necessarily everyone’s idea of a day worth of fun,” she joked. “I still want to show you my garden bed, but we’ll go past it on our way out.”

Pondering, Faye chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment. “How are you with animals? Specifically, cats?” she asked, giving him a lopsided smirk. Tess had arrived a few days ago so she hadn’t been able to show her to him and a part of her wanted to quickly check on the creature to let her know she was okay, even if her mother would be checking in on the cat regular basis while Faye was away.
