Based on their earlier exchange, Faye had a feeling this would be a fairly easy going meeting. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t be wrong. He had said to just drop in, so with that in mind, and after taking all of thirty seconds to drop her bag in her now ready quarters, Calloway found herself at the COO’s office. By far he was one of the department heads she would need to get along with best, since she was going to need more resources from time to time. If there was anything Faye knew, it was never to piss off the person who signed your requisition orders.

Pressing the chime, she only hoped she had caught him at a good time.

“Yo!” came a response from the other side of the door and it slid open. A somewhat spartan office was dominated by an Orion seated behind the desk. He was big, even by Orion standards, and the collar of the gold uniform he wore didn’t quite hide something that looked like tattoos and brands that barely peeked up above it.

The bald headed, green skinned figure held up a finger in the universal sign for “Just a second.” and a voice coming from the desk said =/\=Listen, Lieutenant. I am a former Commander in Star- =/\= at which point the Orion stood up with a speed that seemed almost unnatural for someone his size and he looked directly at the desk as if it had just afforded some affront to his whole family line and said =/\= I don’t give a rat’s behind if you are the current President of the flippin’ Federation, you arrogant jerk! I have transferring crew that needs quarters on the station and you just told me you have lost about a third of my requisitions! So unless you want by big green butt camped out in your office for the next seventy-two hours with my hand on your greasy little head steering you where you need to go I suggest, Commander, you DO. YOUR. JOB. Got it? Good. =/\= and he jabbed his finger at the desk and cut the communication. He then flopped back into the chair and looked up at Calloway, a big smile forming across his face.

“Heya, Lieutenant. What can I do for you today?” he asked nonchalantly, as if the previous few seconds had not even happened.

“Hopefully make me day better than the one he’s apparently having,” she said, pointing to the computer terminal with a somewhat amused expression.

“Well, you be hard pressed to have a worse day than he’s having.” Hammor said with a chuckle. “Have a seat.”

Grabbing a seat at the desk, her stormy grey-green eyes took in the COO with curiosity. “I’m Faye, as you probably know, having spoken earlier. Consider this my requested meeting that you said I could drop in for.” There was an intensity with her that even under her best training had never been fully removed- it was just a facet of who she was. Or at least it was her go-to demeanour these days, for which the crew of the Manhattan would find themselves unexpectedly grateful for. Previous crews… well, some of those poor souls would barely recognize the teal-haired woman.

“Excellent. So tell me… what is it your are going to be doing on our fair ship? Oh, and do you want a drink? One of the advantages of Operations: my office replicator has the largest database on the ship.” he said with a wink.
