She had set a time and asked him to book the space for what would amount to a very basic, if personal meeting. The last couple weeks had been rather intense, and Shara felt she was either floating in and out of the periphery of it all or smack dab in the middle. Either way, despite her floating status on this ship, she was here as long as she felt both herself and Faye needed her to be. And from all the evidence she’d seen Faye definitely needed her here!

And it was with her daughter in mind that she asked Cochrane for a meeting regarding a personal matter and a space where they could chat uninterrupted.

Stepping into the briefing room, she replicated herself a cup of mint tea and sat down next the head of the table, turned t the side so she could watch the door as well as glance out the windows.

About ten minutes after their agreed upon time, the doors slid open and Cochrane walked through; PaDD in hand. “Commander, my apologies. I think your daughter underestimates her knack for generating paperwork.” and he waved the PaDD absentmindedly. He went to the replicator and ordered a strong black coffee and then sat down heavily in the chair across from Shara.

He smiled slightly and said “Meeting in the Auxiliary Bridge… this is either going to be terrible news; or are we going to have send you scurrying through my ship in order to ferret out a doppelganger in the Federation President’s office?”
