Titling her head back enough so she could look at him, Faye smiled softly. “Slow would be good. I mean, emotionally. Physically I think we already skipped ahead and I actually am quite fine with that,” she said with a playful grin. “But, slow and careful with my emotions is where I need to be. I don’t know if that makes us friends with benefits or something else, but I can’t commit to anything, or anyone specifically. We can see what happens I think. And if it doesn’t go well, we agree to just let it be, go back to colleagues, or friends if it still makes sense?” Her body leaned slightly on his and Faye wrapped her arm around his waist, enjoying the solidness of his form.

“Friends with benefits, I can live with that.” He said wrapping his arms around her and just holding her. “This is the most amount of sense we’ve made since starting this roller coaster and honestly I’m relieved.” He kissed the top of her head, they didn’t need a title or anything official because they weren’t but Luke was content about that, happy even. “We should probably finish up” he didn’t want to leave the hug but the longer they remained in an embrace the chance of being seen was increasing.

“Probably,” Faye agreed, brushing her lips against his neck. “But… tell you what. Let’s finish prepping the bed and I’ll show you how to start the seeds, then we can call it done here and go get all this dirt off us. I can think of a few things that could make that mighty interesting and fun,” she added, reluctantly pulling away from him.

“You have a deal Miss Calloway” He teased reaching for the shovel and started to move the last of the dirt onto his plot. “Though were using your place to get cleaned up, I still have managed to get a new coffee table yet” The bruises and cuts had slowly disappeared but still he felt where they had been. He shovels the last of the dirt and patted it down and gave it an approving nod. “Seeds?” He asked moving the ckmvwratiom easily back to why they were there in the first place.

She smirked at the mention of the coffee table. Okay, so they had gotten carried away and had been a little too… energetic. But it was half the fun. Gesturing with her head, Faye moved towards the greenhouse.

In front of the greenhouse, Faye leaned her shovel up against it, intending to put it away after. Stepping inside, the space had a slightly warmer temp and humidity but it wasn’t uncomfortable. There was also an overhead fan circulating air and stepping made you realize that there was a breeze in the main garden too that was only apparent in a different space. In the middle were a couple large worktables with shelves underneath that housed supplies and the entire perimeter of the greenhouse was lined with metal wirework top tables that could withstand being watered upon and wouldn’t disintegrate. The clear glass structure and roof allowed all the simulated daylight to pass through the plants growing inside and as you looked closer the half wall that came just above the seedling tables had little ID tags with a number and letter corresponding to each plot in the raised bed sections. A whole separate table was also set aside for the botanical staff’s use only.

“Okay, your plot is Four-B and there is a spot there for your seedling trays,” Faye explained. “The seeds we’re going to use are my own and I just know all the info off the top of my head, so what I’m going to do later is upload some basic care notes and instruction to your plot’s file. The terminal just outside the greenhouse where I assigned the plot to you is also how you can access those notes. It includes a planting, growing and harvesting calendar as a guideline, plus I’ll include some really basic gardening tips to get your started and you can use your access to send that to yourself on the internal network so you can look things up and read in your quarters or whatever. Make sense?”
