Micah nodded and locked eyes with him and said “Ok… then after your PT today I have to start your debriefing. Now, it’ll just be you and I, no one else. But the Counselor said you are strong enough mentally, so it has to be done. I know it will be hard on ya… but you and I both know we ain’t got no real choice.” and he leaned back in the chair.

Strickland nodded. “I’d been expecting as much. I could tell the way my counselling sessions were shifting that we were prepping for it.” His hands curled into fists, but after a deep breath, he released his fingers. “How come just you? No one form Intelligence is coming?”

“Now on a much lighter note… your girl Calloway was given a commendation. Starfleet Decoration for Valor and Gallantry. Rarified air, right there. Seems her Skipper put her up for the Pike Medal for Bravery, but your jackass Intel folks canned it. But still… she did good. Hell, without her?” and he grinned at Leroy.

“I’d have never seen ya naked.” and he winked at him.

“And you’d have missed out on so much,” Leroy said with feigned seriousness. But his face immediately slipped into a grin and he snorted with amusement. “Bet she hated that,” he said, grinning wider. “But good, she’s deserved something for awhile, even before this mess.” He looked back at Pikelsimer. “Did you know she survived nine months with the Tal Shiar before she went to the Manhattan? Wasn’t reallyinterested in getting to understand her experience so directly but here we are. And there was a part of me at times that knew if she could survive it, I could too.”
