=/\= Manhattan, this is Runabout Athena. We are arriving at the rendezvous in fifteen minutes. =/\= came a male voice through the comms. NE Ha’tel turned and looked at the Captain seated in his chair. “Sir… the comm has come through. Runabout Athena on approach. Fifteen minutes to arrival.” Cochrane nodded once and took a deep breath. “Clear them for rendezvous and prepare Transporter 2. One to beam over. I’ll meet them there.” and he stood and began to move to the lift. “Mr. Creed, you have the conn.” and he stepped into the lift and the doors closed.Pacing in the Transporter room, the time passed agonizingly slowly for Cochrane. Finally, the signal came through and the Chief said “Transport engaged, Captain.” Cochrane faced the pad and watched as the swirling lights coalescing into the form of a human male. The man blinked and looked around. He was wearing the uniform of Star Fleet, Commander pips on his collar. Cochrane knew that was for show. If Blue held a rank at all, Cochrane assumed it would be higher.
“Commander. Captain Cochrane. I appreciate you coming all the way out here. If you would accompany me, I will take you to check in with the Security Chief. Qe have some… concerns… qe wish to address before you see the prisoner.” and he gestured to the door. The Commander simply nodded and walked out, followed by Cochrane.
A scant few minutes later, they arrived at the Security office and Cochrane pressed the chime on the CoS’s door.

As planned Luke had been waiting in the security office, he’d, of course, tracked the ship to its docking and then the comm badge of Cochrane as they navigated the ship till finally arriving to him. This was going to be the first time he had the chance to observe their guest and look for any hints of betrayal from the description he’d been given though it would unlikely to bare any fruit. “Enter” He said standing from behind his desk to greet his guests.
- Lt Luke Wyatt
Cochrane entered first and stood to the side. Following him in was their ‘guests. He walked in and nodded at the Captain and then approached the CoS’s desk. “Lieutenant Wyatt… Captain. May we sit? I’d like your briefing on the circumstances leading up to the arrest of Lt. Calloway before we proceed.” His voice was calm and even, and he seemed pleasant enough…

“Yes please, come in and take a seat” Luke offered warmly as he made his way to the replicator, “Can I offer either of you a drink or snack perhaps before we get started. We have a bit to discuss and I’d hate for us to do it thirsty and hungry.” So luke could play the happy house host if he wanted to, the weirdest thing was that for the most part he was genuinely pleased to be hosting his guest even if it was simply to get a read of him. “Or if you’d prefer we can get straight down to business.” While he waited for their response Luke ordered himself a glass of iced caramel coffee and some biscuits.
- Lt Luke Wyatt, CoS
Cochrane simply sat and shook his head. Commander Blue said “Oh, no thank you. Not much of an appetite since I got word of Faye’s… predicament. So if you don’t kind, I’d like to know what happened.” and he looked from Cochrane to Wyatt and back again.

“Very well” Luke walked back over to his desk and placed the biscuits between them and his drink within arms reach. “Well I had suspected foul play for some time up to Lieutenant Calloway’s arrest, which I admit wasn’t pretty and not my proudest work but she is an impressive evader and computer specialist so the longer the search went on the odds went up. But the tipping point was when she pulled out a phaser and shot half the command staff and tried to make an escape. We knew then that we had a traitor on our hands. I’m sure you received the full brief that I sent out.” Luke had been made aware of a lot of details but he was still unclear on some things so he had opted to send a file of what had happened to cut this debrief down so they could move onto the main event.
- Lt Luke Wyatt, CoS
“Traitor may be, perhaps, a bit of an overstatement.” Cochrane interjected. “But I do believe that unauthorized intelligence asset may be more appropriate. After all, we have no evidence that she was indeed working for a hostile government, only that she is guilty of espionage.” Cochrane was looking at Blue to see how he reacted. To Blue’s credit, and not at all unexpected, his face remained calm and expressionless.
Blue said “Indeed. I have reviewed the report and I don’t see any other recourse than what you did. Now, I am quite sure that the two of you are aware of Calloway’s… let’s call it ‘colorful… history with Star Fleet. As such I can’t say that this is surprising… but I had hoped that being assigned to such a distant and wholly new posting would have given her time to get back to her more… scientific*… aspects.” He shook his head and exhaled slowly. “But I suppose that just is the in the cards, as they say.” He looked at Wyatt and said “May I see her? And as I must discuss some sensitive matters, I am afraid I must insist on doing so alone. After, of course, anything either of you wish to discuss with me?”
