Meanwhile there was a green blinking light and a beep relating to the bone knitter that had been hooked up on Kaia’s arm.

“Lemme see hon,” Washington’s voice was soft and gentle as she looked at the science officer’s arm. It had repaired completely but that didn’t mean things were okay. “Howzit feelin’ honey,” she said in her soft melodic tone.

Lt. Jasmine Wynter CMO

“It’s still kinda tingling a little, like when you get pins and needles. But it doesn’t hurt,” Kaia replied with a look up at the nurse. Her voice was really nice, soothing Kaia’s worried emotional state.

(ooc) oop sorry i posted in the wrong sickbay XD

OCC: You came in with Max from the car accident right? If so you are in the right place. If not well its not the first time I have been wrong in a sim :) ~ Kate

“Good. That means the bones are a knittin’,” she rubbed her back gently in small circles like she was a mother or grandmother. The sensation was meant to be comforting and relaxing. “You came in with the others from the car accident. You got any aches or pains anywhere else?” Lavonne Washington had worked in Cook County ER for a few years before signing up to have a slower pace of life. Vehicle accidents had always been a mainstay of injuries in the ER with things creeping up hours and sometimes days after an incident. The tingles were normal but Washington also wanted to make sure there wasn’t something they missed. Pricks and tingles in extremities could indicate nerve issues or spinal involvement. Pulling out a tricorder she began to scan Kaia to make sure she was okay and that her arm was the only thing injured.

It seemed that Kaia had managed to get through the accident with nothing more than a broken arm and some bruising. She did seem a little out of sorts otherwise, but that was just be the mental aftershock. Kaia’s species was known to be prone to illnesses, but oddly resistant to injuries caused by falls. It was like they always landed on their feet. Scans and Kaia’s own verbal confirmation that the arm was the only thing that had hurt, indicated that she was good to go other than the last of the bone knitting. The young officer leaned into the back rubbing, letting out a sound not unlike the purr of a tabby cat before catching herself and snapping to attention. It seemed such a response embarrassed the Engineer.

Ensign Baht circled the bed that Mikkal had materialized on, swiping a tricorder and waving it over the unconscious man with baited breath, not even pausing to acknowledge the others in the sickbay. His indigo eyes stared at the readings, hoping beyond hope that there wasn’t something horribly wrong with Mikkal because they transported the garvan while he was sleeping.

Bump

Mikkal appeared to be sleeping normally. Scans showed there to be no inherent distress in his physiology, and the transport was the ‘easiest’ of all of the Gravenians to date who had been beamed up.

Che’lak stirred momentarily on her slab. Stillness soon returned.

Shon sighed in relief to find that Mikkal was alright. He double-checked to see if the scans had any notable to other Gravan biosigns they had scanned in the system. Was his… specter still inside him?

Specter. I like that. Er, there was no indications other than Mikkal was sleeping in a normal, if quite deep sleep, almost comatose in readings. It compared similarly with the others on board - Hone and Maree who too were in a similar state.

The ensign glanced over at Che’lak as well, his brow furrowing in worry. He moved over to check her vitals and do a detailed search for anything strange in her biosigns as well.

Can’t speak into Che’lak. That is her run :)

Che’lak was quite alright, sleeping like a little one. Her elevated stress levels were returning to natural levels.

OCC: Sorry I have been gone so long. ~ Kate

“So what happened down there to bring you up here,” Jasmine asked Shon as she stared at the patients he was tending, “and you know about the weird out of body things we think the Gravenians experience at night?” Jasmine had left just as the topic was started on the planet. She wondered what else Baht might have found out during the time they had been separated.

Lt. Jasmine Wynter CMO

Shon lightly roused Che’lak, hoping she was in good enough condition to not need a stimulant to rise, at least. “Lieutenant? Lieutenant Che’lak, are you alright?” His voice was soft, but got louder if it needed to in order to get a reaction from the other medical professional.

Between attempts to wake the doctor, Shon looked over his shoulder to Lieutenant Wynter and motioned to Mikkal, the alien he had brought aboard with him. “Oh yes… right. Mikkal and I were in the hospital… and there were these specters that were threatening us. I mean, I assume they were dangerous… they certainly looked and sounded dangerous. And then I saw this like… shadow world?” The details were slipping away from him as his mind tried to truly process what happened to him for the first time. “So those things the Gravenians experience… they are very much real. And potentially an entirely different entity to the Gravenians themselves. I’m not sure… but I had to get us out of there,” he said definitively.

OOC: Sending you a mail Ben … Gene

Jasmine nodded at Mikkal as an introduction. “We haven’t seen any beings yet but based on reports from Hone and those that were involved in the vehicle crash earlier your story matches up.” She gently rubbed Che’lak’s arm trying to help Baht arouse her.

Shon breathed a sigh of release now that he was able to relax a bit, presuming that he was safe for now. Just as he was letting his guard down, a flood of memories came crashing down on him. He stiffened and his eyes widened. “I should probably talk to the Captain,” he stated abruptly. “About the conjunction.” His eyes glazed over for a second, reliving sense of dread that the menacing voices had inflicted. He shook his head in an attempt to clear it, then looked at Wynter meekly. “Do you know where he is?”
