Tate stood outside the ready room door. He was only slightly nervous to meet his new CO and hoped that she was a strong Captain. He always felt more at ease with strong women in charge. He activated the chime and waited to be invited in.

“Enter”. Came a voice. Upon entering, Tate would notice a woman sitting at a desk with a piece of machine sitting in front of her, head bent over it with a microscopic eyepiece as she worked on it, flipping up the eye piece she looked up and slid the piece of machinary to the ground “Please come in and have a seat. Would you care for something to drink?” She asked.
