Zen frowned at looked at Lucas a moment before offering him some water too. ”alright there” he asked as he gestured to the seat next to him.

Natalie looked around the room as she took a drink of the water that Zen had brought. There were one or two others that were still outside but should be on their way in.

<those that we're missing, post your arrival and we'll get started.>

Natalie looked at the first officer “Commander, what is our status within the ship?” She asked Zen “Over all status. We’ll get detailed reports from each department.” She said clarifying her request.

ooc: ok I’m gonna assume everyone is here then because reading back that seems to be what Jason said. Jason correct me if I’m wrong .

Zen looked around at the gathered DHs, “Well I don’t think it’s likely we will be getting our warranty money back.” He said grimly. “We are low on power and frankly low on options. I think moving forward that we need to deal with the basics of survival and on establishing communications with starfleet or at least to send a distress signal. For that we are going to need power and for survival we are going to need to get out and explore a bit and find some food and water. The ships rations won’t last long and without power we are limited to what We can get.”

He looked around at the assembled section heads. “I suggest that we get a report from each of the departments and then we split into two groups, one to start building a vessel of some sort to get us access to the land areas so we can get supplies and another so we can get some sort of power up and running again.”

He looked at Natalie. “I would suggest Captain that you with your background in engineering remain with the ship and I would take a small party out to…” he paused searching for the correct word and gave Lucas a sideways glance before settling on the only one that seemed appropriate. “…hunt.”

Lt. Furood politely shouldered his way past the taller officers so he could be seen better by the Commander. He closed one baseball-sized eye as a fellow officers sleeve came close to swabbing his cornea. The way it sank into the socket made his open eye seem almost cartoonish. He blinked a few times as he started to speak. “Sir, I recommend that Ensign Anderson and I accompany you on the…foraging expedition.” His tone of voice offered the alternative as a suggestion without stepping on the Commander’s toes. He had seemed dissatisfied with ‘hunt.’ Maybe foraging would sit better with him. “Lieutenant Foley can lead security efforts aboard the ship and liaise with the other departments to direct security personnel to aid where it’s needed while we search.”

-Lt. Thoon Furood, CoS

Zen smiled at the security chief, a slight turn up at the corners of his mouth. His scarlet eyes made the smile Seem somewhat less reassuring than was intended. “Foraging is much more appropriate a term, thank you Lieutenant.” He agreed.

“As far as communications are concerned Mr. Smythe and myself have gotten parts to run a cable through 7 decks from the bridge to Engineering using a headset as a way to communicate. It should last for awhile with the power level we have.”

Murphy, 2nd Officer

Amber came in then, looking like she had tumbled down every shaft and corridor in the ship. She sat down with nods to everyone as she pulled out her hair and remade the loose braid which made her look a bit better. Not realizing she winced at some pain at the back of her head, she smiled to the Captain, “Sorry, Sir…” she mumbled and took a deep breath to try and catch up.

Zen stood and moving To the box of water rations took some out and brought it to Amber. “Doctor.” He said holding the box out to her.

As he sat again he looked at Riker. “Do you think we can organise some materials for a raft or boat?”

Kaida
XO

Natalie listened to the various reports “Engineering, what does the damage look like outside?” She asked “I know that our comms array is damaged, what other damage do we have?” She asked leaning back in her chair and contemplating what they were facing.

She looked at Kaida “A raft? For what?” She asked had she missed a body of water near them…it was possible because she had been focused on assessing the damage and then the village. She looked around “Lane and two others are doing a quick recon of a village that was spotted across a body of water....” She looked at Kaida “Never mind my question....I just answered it myself.” Natalie sighed “Okay, once they get back, we will need to make an official party to the village and see if they can help us with resources and information.” She said “Idari? What are your thoughts on our current sitaution?”

Amber took the offered water and smiled in with a murmured ‘thanks’. Things were more dire than she thought. And it pained her, more than just physically, that she had been ‘out’ for so long and not even realized it. Nor had her staff, apparently.

Commander Idari considered the situation. With the power back on in a minimal fashion, Solit had managed to at least recharge his hand held device, and was pulling up what data he was able to glean from the crash. He noticed the notes that Lieutenant Cewa had left him, and silently thanked the Denobulan for his aid. He quickly considered what the Lieutenant was doing right now, and hoped that he and the others were getting ready to explore the surrounding area with the repaired tools.

“From the information we’ve been able to gather, the anomaly through which we traveled took us a relative 1.5 light years from our starting position at the start of our shakedown. I say relative because of the inherent unknown factor in how much space is actually being folded to connect the two ends of any given wormhole-like anomaly. The two most prominent examples are the wormhole that the Ferengi sabotaged when the Galaxy-class USS Enterprise was engaged in negotiations for access - the Ferengi that got trapped in it ended up in the Delta Quadrant, as we know from the USS Voyager’s mission logs - and the Home of the Prophets, which connects the Alpha Quadrant and the Delta Quadrant, for good and for ill. The was a chroniton effect in that anomaly as well, so it is entirely possible that, as well as traveling an unknown distance, we have traveled to a time period other than our one of origin. These two factors will affect how we head back to Federation space when we finally manage to leave this planet - if there even is a Federation in this time period.”

Solit paused to take a breath and a drink of water. He had managed to grab some rations from the gigantic pile outside of Cargo Bay C, but the beverage options were somewhat unpleasant to his palate, and he needed to wash out the taste.

“Hand scanners revealed that the island upon which we have landed is based upon a gigantic ore deposit which forms a field which interferes with practically all subspace-based technology. We could probably brute force our way around the problem once we get the warp core active again, but until then, most of our scanners and communications are useless because of this ore. Bearing that in mind, I’m planning a little geologic survey. Engineering is currently repairing the equipment with the aid of Lieutenant Veyn Cewa, and then we’re going digging with a field analysis rig in tow. We may need use of some wagons, if that’s even possible in our current status.”
