Riker walked up to the CO’s door in his full dress uniform. Reporting to the Captain was as big a need as it was emotional. Having just been promoted to Chief Engineer he was nervous but ready.

With that Riker rang the chim on the Captain’s door.

Natalie was sitting at her desk working on her prosthetic arm “Enter.” She said without looking up “How can I help you?” She asked finally looking up and setting aside the spanner that she was using “Welcome to the Asimov. You must be my new Chief Engineer. Have a seat.” She said . Riker would see holo pics of Natalie in Main Engineering, wearing the engineering uniform, as well as other family pictures. If he wasn’t feeling nervous enough, he would realize that Natalie had been the Chief Engineer aboard the Asimov for more than six years before becoming Captain. “Mr. MacMoragh, have a seat. Tell me about yourself.” She said “Would you care for something to drink?”
