An hour had past, and the line to the Sickbay had been reduced, but the staff was getting weary. All the sudden, the ship shook violently. The shaking was enough to knock off internal dampeners offline… and the majority of people on to the floor. Those who had sufficient security training or those who knew how to quickly react, remained standing.

Adeline tossed a PaDD onto the stack that had accumulated nearby and let out a sharp breath, enough to blow her brown hair out of her face. It had been a long duty shift so far, continuing to proceed through the list of crew member physicals that accompanied the commissioning of a new ship. She was beginning to feel like she could ask all of the relevant questions from memory and found herself tuning out for the answers, which was not the kind of doctor that she wanted to be. Before she could further contemplate the exhaustion of completing so much routine medical work, she felt herself tumbling across the ship’s deck with only a brief moment to contemplate what was going on on the brand new ship. Finding herself in a heap, she slowly stretched each limb as she evaluated herself for any injuries.

Some bruising on her arms and legs, but nothing seriously injured.
