The admiral merely stared at Calvin for a few moments and then slid her vision over to the CO with an expectant eyebrow raise, waiting to see if she had anything to add.

GM

“Interesting. Avoidance. Shields can only drop under two conditions. They’ve been shot down, or brought down by computer command. No one fired on this ship. Now there are remote shutdown codes given to the Captain and Admiralty. You know that. Did you use your code? Are you intentionally compromising a Starfleet ship? That’s a crime. And you can’t leave evidence behind. Is that why you’ve got your weapons up?” Lucas just had to hope Greer trusted him enough by reputation to let him talk.

Natalie decided to let Lucas have some fun as she walked over to the engineering station to find out who had dropped their shields and make sure that their weapons were still on line so they could at least defend themselves. Natalie knew where this was leading and she was not happy.

CO

The admiral summarily ignored Calvin as she watched Greer move toward the engineering station. A small smirk came over her face as an alert flashed up, notifying Greer that the process to eject the warp core had begun.

GM

“Alright. Piss off then.” Lucas walked to the comms station and cut the channel. “I need this.” He nodded to the comms station. The officer stepped back. “I’m sending all of the Asimov’s conversations with her to an old friend. I’m also doing this.” =/\=All Federation vessels and stations, this is Lt Cmdr Lucas Calvin of the soon to be wreck of the USS Asimov. We are being pursued by the Starfleet vessel Sikeston under the command of Admiral Burnett. She has hostile intentions of disrupting investigations into the ongoing destruction of Federation vessels and destroying our ship. She is the perpetrator of these attacks.=/\=

Lucas looked to Greer. “Well. Did what I could. Foster, back at starbase 153, she can analyse the footage like I would. If you don’t mind, I have to save my daughter.”

Natalie moved the junior engineer away from the station, she had been the Azzy’s chief engineer for almost a decade and began working to countermand the Admiral’s efforts. She looked at Lucas and nodded as she shut down the screen and muted comms and looked at Zenneth “Sound abandon ship and get out of here.” She said “Get everyone off the ship and I will try to keep the warp core from ejecting.” She said her voice hard “Make sure that everything that is going on here is being recorded.” She said as she turned her attention back to engineering screen and put the admiral back on screen

=^=So Admiral, what is your end game with this. You are the one that has caused all of this trouble. Xenophobia? Self Grandization? Stupidity? Just trying to make a name for yourself?=^= She asked as she moved across the screen countermanding the Admiral’s orders.

CO

Zen looked somber, his pale skin looked almost like snow. A fixed look settled into his eyes, quickly he set the commands to ensure the recording of events would be sent to starfleet command. Then he pressed the controls on his chair. =^= This is Commander Kaida, initiating escape procedure Alpha. All hands abandon ship. Repeat. All hands abandon ship.=^=

He got to his feet and signalled the staff on the bridge to do the same. Lingering a moment at the turbo lift he looked at Natalie, he had only known her a few days, been on board a few days. Shortest post in history it seemed. Then he stepped into the lift and was gone to coordinate the rest of the crew.

Natalie watched as her crew left the Bridge, any stragglers, she barked orders at them to abandon ship, her hand flying across the screen to save the core. If that didn’t work, once the shuttles and pods were far enough away, she would fire on the warp core and take out both ships. =^=Commander Kaida, once you are away from the ship, I will let you know the plan.=^= She said

The admiral simply glared at Greer for a few more minutes before finally speaking. =/\= If you hadn’t injured my son, perhaps we could have gone about this a different way. =/\= With that, the comm channel closed and the Sikeston warped away, leaving a shortly warp-core-less Asimov alone and adrift.

Natalie growled and began scanning the warp core to make sure that the core was safe to be retrieved, she still didn’t trust the admiral and planned to make a full report of her behavior and what had just happened. Natalie’s belief that the Admiral was involved in all of these attacks remained steadfast =^=Commander Kaida, I want the ship you are in to also scan the warp core for anything out of the ordinary before we beam it back aboard. =^= All escape pods maintain your distance from the Asimov until you are given the all clear to return.=^=

As the crew fled safely into the escape pods, Kaida’s scans would reveal nothing out of the ordinary on the warp core. The process had been initiated by command codes, similar to the shields being lowered.

=/\= Life Support has been disabled. =/\= came the chirp of the computer after a few moments.
