Persephone followed Vock to the lisut then led him to his quarters. She was fairly silent till they rounded the last corner before his room. “Are you really ok? You were unconscious for some time, with a pretty nasty head injury. I may not be a doctor, but I know that can’t be something you shrug off.”

There was genuine concern in her voice as she kept her eyes straight ahead, not looking at him. Something about him unsettled her and she wasn’t sure what it was.

“I appreciate your concern, Lieutenant. My injuries are mostly superficial, and my unconscious state was a result more of oxygen deprivation than the impact. My species is very resilient with regards to trauma, as I am sure are aware from your studies.” and he stopped and paused as they walked. He looked at her and said “Unless I am mistaken in my belief that xenobiology is a broad topic of smthe Science Section at the Academy?” His question was not anything other than inquisitive. If it wasnt for the bandages on his hands and the state of his uniform, one would be hard pressed to see the CMO as injured; his speech was direct and straightforward, with no hint of anything other than a curiosity about the Academy Science curriculum, of all things.

Seph shook her head. “No, I am aware of your resilience, Sir. I was merely saying the same thing you would say to me if roles were reversed. Species abilities aside.” She followed him to his room in silence.

Natalie was in her office going over daily reports, sipping a cup of tea as she waited for her new CMO to show up so that they could discuss what exactly had happened. She was getting edgy, something wasn’t sitting right with her. She stood and watched as the stars passed feeling the thrum of the warp core under her feet.

OOC: Moving this forward a bit.

IC: Vock led the CSO to his quarters. “One moment, Lieutenant.” he said and stepped through and let the doors close behind him.

Less than four minutes passed and he stepped through again, clean uniform and no sign of the smudges and singes save for the bandages on his hands. “I am ready, Lieutenant. Thank you for waiting.” and he made his way to the turbolift and to the bridge.

Stepping off, he looked both directions before stepping over to the Ready Room door and pressing the chime.

“Enter.” Natalie walked around her desk to greet the CMO.

Seph had followed in silence. When they reached the bridge, she stepped on behind him and moved to the Science station to check in with the NE and make sure all was well.

If Vock disappeared into the Ready Room, she would excuse herself and go back to Science. Something about Vock was sitting oddly in her mind. She shook herself mentally and watched out of the corner of her eye at the new CMO.

Vock paused in the doorway and looked at the CSO. Seeing her remaining behind, he said “I thank you for your time, Lieutenant. I do hope we can talk later.” and without waiting for a reply, turned and entered the Ready Room.

Walking up to the desk, Vock stood straight and said “Lieutenant Vock reporting, Captain.”

“Thank you for coming Lieutenant.” Natalie said “Welcome aboard and what happened on your shuttle?” She asked getting to the point.
