Jorath stepped into sick bay smiling as he through about his recent encounter with the XO, the ship proved to be a place he felt welcome.

“Chief Science Officer Varen Jorath, reporting for my medical examination.” he said to the closest medical officer.

“Take a seat,” The medical officer said, pointing to an open biobed. She was a nurse. “The doctor will be with you soon. In the meantime, I’d like to take down any relevant history. That’s recent symptoms, illnesses, any travel outside the federation? And any concerns you’d like the doctor to address.”

Varen took a seat and smiled warmly, “Nothing to speak of I’m afraid that I don’t get sick very often. No travel to speak of in the last 2 years.” he said crossing his legs and leaning back in the chair.

The nurse smiled. “Then this should be quick and easy.” She said, just as a doctor stepped up behind her, his dark hair intentionally messy. He was Betazoid, but one of his black eyes was prosthetic, tiny streaks of silver mechanics in the black of the eye. He wore a permanently somewhat sullen expression, though he seemed friendly enough. “You’re the new CSO? I’m Doctor Izei, ship’s Chief Medical Officer.”

Varen smiled warmly at the man, “It’s a pleasure to meet you!” he said extending his hand. “Varen Jorath, I’m the new Chief Science Officer.” Varen finished.

“I look forward to working with you Dr, will you be signing off on my exam today? “
