“Sounds like a good target,” Shara said and then, knowing her weapon was on heavy stun, she let her prisoner go suddenly, took a step back adn then fired, catching her body as she fell. Shara laid her on the ground and said, “Told you I don’t kill unless I absolutely need to.”
“Let’s go,” Shara said quietly as she gestured for Mwezi to continue.

Mwezi nodded thoughtfully, although he didn’t agree with her reasoning. Then again, he knew the context of the program better than she did. Luckily, in the history the program was based on, the infiltration team had found the target. He crouched and proceeded towards the frightened smell.
Mwezi, XO
Shara moved along with silent steps, Following Mwezi as they carved a path towards a potential new hostage. Maybe this person would be more inclined to give up the information they needed in order to shorten this mission. Her whole body was attuned to the space and she let herself once again be on the prowl.

Mwezi carefully sniffed the air, honing in on the smell like a hunting dog. His fist gripped tightly to his serrated blade, he lightly gestured towards a door, waiting for Shara to get in position before nudging it open. Nothing happened, so he entered, trusting Shara to watch his back as he entered the room.
Weapon at the ready in her right hand, her other hand was on another concealed (but easily drawn) weapon. She nodded her readiness, her stance primed for immediate action if needed.
What he found was not what he’d expected.
Mwezi, XO
She stepped in behind him, weapon drawn and looked around.

A human man sat, tied to a chair. He was bleeding from several gashes, wearing the tatters of a starfleet uniform. Mwezi stepped in, glancing around in confusion.
Mwezi, XO
“Cover me and search the room,” Shara said, creeping over, by hyperaware that it could be a trap. She wished she had thought to bring a tricorder, but you didn’t always have all the tools you wanted with you and had to make do. In that way, this simulation could be made more realistic. Weapon drawn, she took side steps to the man. Was he conscious? “Hey,” she said, looking at the uniform for divisions and rank clues. “You look like you have yourself in a bit of a jam,” she said before she came fully around to face him.
~Shara Calloway, CIO
The man stared at Shara and Mwezi with what looked like disbelief in his eyes. He was an older human, his uniform resembling modern Starfleet styles, perhaps of a couple decades ago. Which was… strange, given the program was set in the 2250s. Mwezi had programmed a few variations into it, then allowed the computer to iterate to make the situation random enough that he couldn’t just blitz through knowing all the secrets. The collar of the man’s shirt was torn or burned off, but the coloured areas on the shirt were red.
Mwezi glanced around, carefully surveying the room while Shara examined the… prisoner?
The man looked at Shara. “Are you here to rescue me? Are you Starfleet?”
Mwezi, XO
She gave Mwezi a ‘cover me’ look and crouched in front of the man. “We are Starfleet, yes. What’s your name and what brought you here of all places?” Shara was proceeding with abundance of caution, not having enough information about the situation to be sure it wasn’t a trap.

“Lieutenant J.G. Jason Doppler,” the man stated, following it up by stating his serial code. “My shuttle was captured by the Alien vessel after we both fell through the time vortex. They’ve been holding me captive ever since, gloating that I’ll see my world dead the same way theirs was.”
“Well, Lieutenant Doppler, I’d say you’re pretty lucky right now that we happened upon you.” Her mind was piecing together what she could.
His words were stammered, with the occasional pause as he caught his breath. Mwezi pulled a packet of biogel out of his pocket and tossed it to Shara before casing the rest of the room and finding no other entrances. He stood with the strange human between him and the door, his phaser pointed at the door but ready to shoot this odd prisoner if needed.
Mwezi, XO
Shara caught the gel with ease and set it on the deck before reaching around and untying his arms. “Stay still,” she said with a firm tone and she grabbed the gel. “I’m going to treat your phaser burn. I warn you it will probably hurt a bit,” she said as she opened the tube and began to apply the gel, trying to be as gentle as possible.
“What did they want to know from you?” Calloway said, hoping to distract him as she tended to his wound. The cut look like they had clotted so she was less concerned about them at the moment.

“C-codes for the stellar device.” Doppler responded, wincing a little, but containing himself from making any loud noises. “I- it sounds insane but I’m from the future… their star was… on the verge of a supernova. The device was meant to remove some of the heavier elements from the star, let it keep going a little longer… I was the operator. It worked… partially. Their planet still got roasted. They want to use it to remove Earth’s Iron core and make it collapse…”
Doppler
She continued to treat his wounds gently as they talked. “We were sent to destroy a weapon with few details. How do disable and destroy the device?” Shara asked.
Cmdr. Shara Calloway, Chief Intelligence Officer
Doppler coughed, bringing his hand up to the side of his head. “The, ah… command codes. If you can get me there, I can punch them in… it needs voice… recognition. Disabling the Stellar Device is easier than activating it, thankfully. Just need to… remove the activation… ah… spark plug of sorts. I don’t know where they’re storing my shuttle though… the Stellar Device is built into its structure.”
