Mwezi sat at the table in his new quarters aboard the new ship, eating his midday meal in solitude. It was a beautiful ship, far more impressive than the previous model, although the ‘pirate’ skin placed over everything reduced that magnificence slightly, at least in the visual department. Luckily, like the Captain, he wasn’t serving under a false identity, so he could still display his framed photos of himself and his partners on the walls. As he finished his meal, a light alarm went off from his wrist and he turned to glance at the small holographic screen that popped up.

–Meeting with Captain; 1500h–

“Ah, I didn’t realise it was so close to that time. Better get going.” Mwezi put away his dishes and left his quarters, making his way at a reasonable pace towards the Captain’s office, arriving at precisely 1455 and pressing the chime.

Sara had a few minutes to relax and not think about anything. Or so she thought. The chime went, and she sighed deeply. She straightened herself up a little and called out “Come in.” She wasn’t expecting anyone until Mwezi was due in about five minutes.
