Blue walked briskly down the passageway of the new ship, sliding past crew and making for a specific destination. Most if the crew was off wither trying to get supplies on The Cloud or making their way onto the luxury liner for Phase II. So that him with a smaller pool of personnel to draw from, but he knew rhe two he wanted were still on board.

First he stopped by the Security Chhief’s office. The door slid open at his approach and he stuck his head in. “Hey. I need you. If you can, meet me in the Lounge in ten minutes.” and he patted the doorframe with his hand and disappeared from view down the passage.

The next stop was the bridge. He knew Calloway was there and he stepped off the turbolift and onto the Command deck. Looking around he spied his quarry and walked over. In a low voice he said “I have need of your particular abilities. Not required, but I think it will make the odds of Phase Two much higher. Lounge. Ten minutes. Just you, no Pikelsimer.” and he gave her a nod and walked back into the turbolift.

Her abilities could mean some very different things depending on the person. But this was Strickland, so she could guess. Intrigued, she finished a quick task and logged off her terminal and slipped off the bridge. The nice thing about being higher ranked but not in charge meant she could come and go as she needed with relative ease.

Five minutes later, Blue was seated a far back corner booth far from anyone else. It helped most of the crew didn’t really trust him, but he hoped they two women would.

GM

Did Bethany trust Blue? She didn’t know. She had had very little interaction with the man. The few times she had attempted to ask questions or discuss, she was answered by Pikelsimer or brushed off. That wasn’t necessarily Blue’s fault. She reserved judgement. She didn’t trust the FedSec agent and wasn’t sure she trusted his wife either. But she chose to stay knowing Bl u e and Pikelsimer were in charge of this mission.

So she walked into the lounge a minute after Blue and slid into the seat across from him.

Gadi

Calloway slipped in, her foggy blue eyes searching for Blue. She found him in the corner… with Bethy. Well then, this should be interesting. She approached the booth, gave them both a nod and slipped in beside Leroy. Shara folded her arms on the table and gazed at him.

“Thanks for coming.” Blue said. “So… I had a chance to review what the rest of the crew is doing.” and he glanced at Gadi. “They’re gonna need some help. I trust them to do their best. But even the best may need a.... let’s call it a ‘helping hand’. But this will have to be done on the fly. That means improvisation and rolling with changing circumstances. And honestly… I think that means the two of you. Just the two of you. Pulling it off will almost guarantee the crew is successful on the yacht. So? You two game?”

GM

Ah, vague details, almost promises, and a request for help without more information. The rush of an unknown challenge. It didn’tquite have the same effect on her these days. What did was her dedication to duty and the value of her word. “It’s what we signed up for. What do you need?” Gadi asked.

Gadi, COS

Blue smiled and said “I think you should kidnap the Captain of the yacht.”

GM

Shara blinked. “Come again? Last I checked everything about the ship and the person highly discourages such a thing. Why? Why would that help our cause or be even necessary?” She was all for tackling difficult tasks, but there had to be a really good reason for them, and one that made sense.

Blue grinned and said “Because you will only have to deal with half of those concerns. She left the ship twenty minutes ago, and is heading into the markets to do some shopping. And she only took two guards with her. She is trying to stay incognito.”

GM

“Take her out and it will rock the confidence of the whole crew and the guests. They lose her, they lose their tactical and security foundation. The guests will panic that if she couldn’t keep herself safe, how safe are they? Scared and uncertain makes people willing to do things to stay alive. Especially at the hand of pirates who only want their money or someone else.”

Shopping, she was going to need to grab a new disguise before she went out. If it went south she didn’t want them to associate her or Calloway with the Broken Dawn and the new passengers.

Gadi, COS

Leaning back against the booth, Shara nodded slowly. “As it happened, Picklesimer and I just acquired some very persuasive weaponry. Between that and the Marine stuff we stole, I think we can not only incapacitate a couple guards, and the captain if need be. But once we have her, what’s the plan? Are we bringing her back here to barter with, keep here along with the others? What’s the goal?”

Blue shrugged and said “Personally? She’s a hero of the Federation. One of the most decorated officers in Star Fleet history.” and he chuckled. “Do you have any idea how much you could get for her?” and he laughed and held up his hand. “Now now… I am very aware that the selling of sentient flesh is an abysmal crime and those that trade in it should be skinned alive. That being said… it would look really authentic if that were to happen… at least in the eyes of those watching.”

GM

Bethany shrugged at that and looked at Blue, “That would be up to the captain and you to decide.” Then she looked at Calloway, “If we are going to do this, we need to decide and go.”

Gadi, CoS

Shara had to swallow down the bile that rose. Strickland was being practical, sure, but she was certain for a moment that he forgot who he was talking to and who her daughter and the former agent he handled was. If he was doing it on purpose, oh there would be words. She shifted her gaze to Gadi. “Agreed. We don’t have a lot of time. Logistically I think we can handle this. Let others decide what happens when we get her here.”

“Anything else we should know before we go?” Calloway asked Blue.
